Saw some posts at the top about Allstate insuring bikes if you have other policies with them. Since it was between TD and SF, the only logical choice was SF because TD wanted something like $3000+ a year. I even get a corporate discount with TD.

Thanks!

Thats about right, and if you bring your car there it will go down to probably just under $70/month.

Cool, thanks guys.

They asked about moving my car and house, but even with that bundled with SF it won't reduce it enough for me to switch from my current insurers.

Yep sounds right. When SF saw my driving record they actually recommend I not bring my car over with them as it would only increase my premiums lol

Is the CBR600 F4 or F4i an SS bike?

I keep hearing from some that it's a sport touring while others say that insurance companies view it as an SS since it's 600cc.

It is classified as a SS at all insurance companies.
The only difference between that and most other SS the same age is it has a more upright riding position and the 99-00 and 04-06 had banana seats. Power wise they are the exact same.

Except it'll cost you double on your car compared to whatever you were paying before. At least that was my experience.

$115/mo sounds good for SF. My rates at 28 in Toronto were much higher. They told me flat out that their Toronto rates are garbage.

It's an SS. The difference is StateFarm doesn't care what kind of bike it is. They charge by engine size so a 600cc SS is actually cheaper to insure with them than say a 649/650cc sport tourer like the 650R even though the 650R has about half the HP.

100% correct. SF has a good portion of the sportbike market whereas it doesn't have much of the big cruiser world. That's what my SF agent told me when I signed up with them in March. They don't look at the class, just cc's. Oh and your age as well obviously.

Thanks for the info!

Sounds about right, I pay 114 a month for my 05 r6 with sf. 29 and clean driving record

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I'm paying $92/month (26, clean record, no other vehicles with SF). I got insurance April 4th, however had I waited till April 10th I would be paying $111/month. So it sounds about right.

28, one ticket, bike only
$83/month for a FZR400
100/month for my Ninja 500
The FZR is SS class but they saw it has 100cc lower O.o

StateFarm doesn't care about the class. Only engine size. A ZX6R would cost me less on SF than my 650R even though the ZX has about twice the HP.
