thanks for this, JC

time for a helmet, had been eying a specific Shark lid for awhile
ordered one from this outfit with snazzy colours to suit the bike
lots of $$ less than F9 wanted for the plain flat black one

now to see what the shakedown is from DHL for customs and duty

lucky you, CBSA goes on work to rule soon. they won't be charging brokerage fees.

Which Shark did you get? I like their helmets too. Wish they had a decent ADV offering.

They use not DHL Express, but DHL-Deutsche Post, so the package comes via Canada Post. And then chances are quite high that you will not pay any taxes.
And the best part - it usually gets here in 3-4 days.

Just completely and utterly shameful that if you order from F9 in Montreal, it takes 2 weeks, but you order from Germany and it takes 3 days.

DF.

Just FYI I ordered a tire from Royal Dist one morning and it's on my porch before noon the next day.

Yeah man, move back to ontario from BC

Unless the fires go from nuisance to dangerous, dont see it happening.

Ordered a helmet from them about two months ago. Like others said it was delivered via Canada Post. Was charged both duty and tax, but it was still much cheaper than buying either locally or online within Canada.

Btw customer service was excellent. Had an issue with the item and they resolved it quickly.

I've been trying to find a hipsterish black leather jacket, can't find anything I like in my size locally/online in NA but am really liking the Bogotto jackets they have listed.

Not sure on sizing, can't always trust the listed measurements, anyone have experience with the brand? Quality, fit, etc?

For reference my two current jackets, Alpinestars leather I'm a 46/56 and Scorpion textile I'm a Large.

Looking to buy a helmet from them. The Schuberth C4 Pro or basic. Looks to be much cheaper with them.

People who have purchased helmets from them before- could you comment on what would be the % of duty and taxes?

Also- what would be the recommended shipping method to pick? Thanks!

Duty is 0 + 13% ON HST

Pick DHL - it’s Deutshe Post, it will come quickly via Canada Post and you will not be paying ridiculous brokerage fees. And as a bonus - it might even come undetected by CBSA, though they usually pay attention to a bigger boxes.
