$10 seems like a no-brainer if you don't already have one for the garage. Then again, the only thing I know about them is that it's better to have one and not need it than to need one and not have it:

P.S. Only place I can find the model number (21028234) is on this site:

Still ordered 2 for my garage anyways. Worst case it's a class 5BC, best case it's 1A-10BC.

Saw one today. They are very small (10" or so), I didnt pay much attention but I did notice BC on the box so guessing 5. Its a one use extinguisher, maybe lawnmower fire, possible car if you caught it quick. My HD had 2 in stock and already claimed by online order.

I keep 5 lb extinguishers in furnace room, kitchen and the cars. Every 10 years or so, they move to the garage and get replaced. Garage has at least a half dozen in various locations. Only needed one once (torch decided to burn between head and tank). $10 is a great price for security/safety.

In case of an altercation a fire extinguisher is more easily explained than a baseball bat by the front door.

I’ve only needed an extinguisher twice in my life and both times very happy they were handy .

Knew a guy who used to carry one on his Goldwing. He managed to use it several times on other people's bikes.

The one in my dd has been used on at least one car fire that happened in front of me. If you get it early enough, it buys some time to get people out even if it decides to grow again.

I used a halon one on a car engine fire once and it was great, for a few seconds. A puff of wind blew the halon away and oxygen returned to ignite the fuel while the engine was still above auto ignition temperature. Halon is now banned.

Arent you old enough to have thrown fire grenades at christmas trees? Nothing like a little phosgene gas to go along with your fire emergency.
