09 ninja 250 tachometer jumps

Hi guys,
I noticed that whenever i go over a bump on the road, my tachometer needle jumps to redline and then back down to where its supposed to be after the bike settles

does anyone have an idea of what could be happening?

it has been sitting for 2 weeks since i last rode it, but i dont think 2 weeks would cause any issues?

would this indicate a loose cable? any idea which cable in particular?
