07 zx6r F I light came on as soon change exhaust- help pls!!!!

Yesterday i installed a Yosh exhaust on my bike 07 zx6r, as soon i put the Yosh on the FI light came on!!!
Today i went for a nice run and no problem what's so ever. The question is - riding with the light on will damage the engine?? What about performance gain or loss? Removing the valve in the stock exhaust and disconnect the cables in the servo motor, why do i need the servo? Can i disconnect the plug from the servo motor?
Anyway can anybody can give me some feed back how to resolve this problem??
 
Did you leave the servo motor in the bike? It has to remain electrically connected, even if the mechanical cables are no longer connected to anything.
 
I did the same install 2 months ago I just followed the instruction, from what I remember u remove the cables only. my light never came on. I have the instructions if you want me to look at it
 
i have an 06 and when i bought it, the guy had a yoshi on it installed and the light was on (just like yours). ive been riding it for a while now and no problem. called my mechanic and said its common and nothing to worry about.
 
Correct i just removed the cables, the sevo motor is still there. The only think that is bother me is the frigging light stays on!!! I even called the Kawi delear and guess what? They don't know the right answer.
 
Did you think the dealer would give you free, over the phone advice on a bike they'd never seen with a pipe they didn't make?? :-)
 
Scan it for codes using the procedure in the factory service manual. It's easy; a paper clip or a piece of safety wire are all that is needed. Report back to us with the number of the code that it is setting.

Did you install full exhaust or just the slip on?

I'll try to get it done tonight. To answer your Q - It is the Yosh slip-on.
