Race fairings - where to buy?

Another vote for James at Squidskins & they hold up pretty well when you crash them.

    disability/death insurance for racing

I started racing in August 2017 at 54 years old (I just did the 1 round to get a taste of racing), good for you mate, you go for it. I love the competitiveness of racing & even though this year (my first full racing season) ended a little early & not quite as I wanted it to I will be back next...

    Track Riders Who Quit Street

I used to only ride on the street in the UK, never did track days & then I moved to Canada. When I first moved to Ontario I did a lot of serious cycling (& still do) & decided I wouldn't be riding a motorcycle in Ontario on the public roads based on that experience but also after seeing 1st hand...

    Camping at the track?

Yep, I camped there for late Sept last year, I had no issues other than it being a bit cold because of the time of year. Washrooms & showers are left open all night but it can get windy so tie the tent down well other than that you'll be fine.

    MotoGP 2018

Each race is straight through but there are lots of commercials before and between races but that's fair.

    MotoGP 2018

I subscribed to Bein (with Bell Fibe) last year to watch the Moto GP - as someone else said they broadcast Moto3, Moto2 & Moto GP, I think it was $16/month but I can also record the races on the Bell PVR for later viewing as well. I'll be doing the same again this year, I dont mind paying...

Advice for winter work on 2008 R6 - keyswitch elimination harness / 520 conversion

So would this apply to a 2006 GSXR1000 as well i.e. having to re-flash the ECU to turn off the immobliser feature? If so do you know anyone who does that as my Woodcraft key eliminator was delivered yesterday.

    2018 Track Days

Think it was at least mid March last year before Cayuga had 2017 dates up for motorcycle lapping, not sure why it takes them so long. They had also cut back on the amount of motorcycle lapping days for 2017, shame really as I like it down there.

Advice for winter work on 2008 R6 - keyswitch elimination harness / 520 conversion

Ordered my key switch eliminator for the GSXR from Bluestreak - free shipping. Haven't received it yet but install doesn't look that hard, aiming to do it over the Xmas break so I'll let you know how it goes.

Toy hauler, travel trailer or tent

Thanks for all the feedback guys, appreciated. I'm going to look at a nice (hopefully) KZ toy hauler next Saturday, it's an older one but has everything I want and more importantly everything my lovely wife said it must have. Will let you know how I make out.

Toy hauler, travel trailer or tent

Hey BED, how are you? If I was towing a good sized camper I'm thinking you'd need the tailgate up so it wouldn't contact the trailer when turning............maybe I'm wrong on that? Something like this might be perfect, what do you think...

Toy hauler, travel trailer or tent

I have seen a toy hauler with pop out beds front & rear and the front has a platform area for the bike which is a decent price, that might be a good starting point for me maybe. I had thought about that option Nick but I'd want the camper closer to home for normal weekends away etc . I missed a...

Toy hauler, travel trailer or tent

Does anyone here transport their bike to & from the track in the bed of their F150 or other truck with the smaller 5.5 bed? I think the bike would go in the truck bed diagonally when I measured it all up & still allow you to get tailgate up but haven't physically tried it. Only asking because...

Race / Track bike winter "To-Do" list

Getting my 2006 GSX-R1000 race bike ready for my first full race season: Remove & re-build water pump - for some reason it started (very slightly) leaking coolant out of the back when I replaced the water with antifreeze. Replace all coolant hoses - they are starting to look a bit worn out...
