So, for anyone who streams using ServusTV, I ran into a new predicament for the first time today…. They’ve changed their coding somehow or another - if you’re using an Apple product, you cannot cast the stream to another device (TV, AppleTV etc). Tried it with the iPad and with the desktop...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

If all you want is a conversation starter pick up a Yamaha Niken. Buddy of mine loved the bike but hated the attention.

I hear you… Some people don’t care about their lawn being walked on, others do. If I ever walk across a person’s lawn, it’s usually only after they have told me it’s OK to do so, and then I always take a slightly different path so I’m not stomping on the same blades of grass every day etc.

Simply put up a sign saying "Please stay off the grass." Done deal. They walk across it again, call in a complaint. Letter carrier will get ******* at. Keep reporting it as necessary. After 3rd report LC will be suspended without pay for a week.

I’m hoping that WSS and WSBK are more competitive this year. From what we’ve seen in MotoGP so far, it’s going to be somewhat of a boring season. Same guys, same bikes at the top. Hopefully Martin can gel with the Aprilia quickly and get on par/better than Ogura within 2 race weekends. He’s...

That’s the problem… I’m not experienced in the trades. I’ve done a bunch of home renovations including plumbing, electrical, knocking down walls, drywalling etc. But I wouldn’t say I can hold a candle to a proper tradesperson.

Interesting idea. But they would all need to have proper level 2 security checks etc. Delivering registered mail, passports etc.

I’m getting old… 55 in April… don’t know how many trades would be interested in hiring someone my age.

And if I get rehired after PP decides to sell and make it private sector (if PP wins of course), I will go back at a significantly decreased wage and most benefits cut. It’s a VERY physically demanding job, and a large percentage of retiring posties need hip replacements, walk with canes etc...

    Canada Post - Huge losses

Nope. 4.5 years means diddly squat. If they cut even 1/4 of posties I have no idea how on earth routes will be delivered. Last week I had a day with 44,000 steps taken. If you expect me to add another 11,000 steps in a day to make up for the 1/3 cut in staff, that’s a ludicrous proposal.

Technically, we are still on strike, but were mandated back to work. When the mandate ends we are still in continuing legal strike action if there is no new agreement. I really DON’T want to go back on the picket line. I just want to work with some reasonable job security.

So, after watching the sprint race… I’ll admit I’m jumping the gun a bit, but I am a bit concerned it will be like the last season that Jorge Lorenzo won the championship. If MM gets ahead at the beginning of the race, that’s it. Game over. He’s on the best machine and is one of the top 2 riders...

    2025 WSBK Thread

SPOILERS are Allowed. So, did anyone catch the WSBK races from Philip Island this past weekend? Couple of surprises, but much like MotoGP, it seems as though the series is dominated by the sheer number of Ducatis in the paddock. The racing in general was decent with lots of passing throughout.

If they put "force backs" into play again (complete your route and be forced out onto another), I can guarantee you that posties will stop at the cafe across the street or whatever instead of returning to the depot. Part of the collective bargaining agreement indicates that once you are...

They will get keys for the new box in their old box about 2-3 weeks ahead of the new one being put into use.

That's more than likely precisely what will happen for non-SSD (see my post just before this one) depots. I bust my ass out there, get told by supervisors to slow down when I walk etc. Why? 'cause I get to go home a little early as my reward. Punish myself for a "treat".

    Canada Post - Huge losses

It's called "Separate Sort and Delivery" (SSD). Most depots that have installed this system are crazy behind on mail delivery with many days of ail stacked up for large portions of their depot. Postie arrives, mail has been pre-sorted. Still need to mark packets/parcels and sort them for proper...

100% we are tracked by our ID card scan-in when we enter the depot, then when we log in to our PDT, and again when we log out. This is one of the things that CP is pointing their fingers at in the negotiations. They refuse to believe that letter carriers are NOT taking their breaks during the...

You don’t understand how people wiht home delivery fight against Community Mail Box conversion. It’s a luxury that basically costs them nothing. People are loath to give up luxuries.

Late to the party here… Do you realize that most European countries literally charge double what CP does? Take Germany for example - you can fit the country into Ontario almost FIVE TIMES. Consider that our country is what, 5500km coast to coast, now add in transportation costs… Now, add in...
