    Best Toronto Motorcycle Show

I live in Toronto, so much prefer taking transit and not having to deal with the Mississauga ***show 😂 But if it’s worth the drive I’d give it a go. Sounds like I’m better off online shopping and/or looking at motorcycles at a dealer lol

    Best Toronto Motorcycle Show

Last time I was at a show it was sparse. Few manufacturers and only a handful of retailers. Wondering if that’s still the case, or if there is a show that’s recommended for both manufacturer attendance and retailers?

Kelowna Yamaha based on the price sticker lol. Bit out of the way, but the definition of “GTA” has had some creep over the years 😁

are all of the toronto motorcycle pilot parking spots all gone?

Still up on Murray St by Orde….except 1 of the 2 signs has fallen down and not been replaced, so you can tell where the spot starts but not where it ends! 9 times out of 10 there’s a car parked there and it never gets a ticket 😡

    increase-in-motorcycle-fatalities-leads-to-bike-safety-talks

Absolutely. But a for an “unentitled” motorcyclist, the risk increases with the other things I mention, no?

    increase-in-motorcycle-fatalities-leads-to-bike-safety-talks

I have many years experience riding and driving as well, and the risk definitely has changed. More traffic/congestion, different types of road users (teens on electric scooters!), distraction, poor driving/riding skills, and an overall entitlement on the part of all types of road users.

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

A garage auto policy offers coverage for legal liability for damage to customers’ autos….so an at fault accident (I.e mechanic responsible while test driving) should be covered by the dealer’s policy. A not at fault claim (DCPD) would be covered by the owner’s policy as it is a first party...

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

Here’s an example of a test ride waiver from Barnes/Blackfoot. Language is probably very similar for others: https://blackfootonline.com/images/miniweb/misc/demowaiver.pdf

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

Letting someone thrash a bike with no consequences would lead to more morons I’m guessing 😂

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

Obviously it would need to be worthwhile for a dealer to go that route, but the same would apply for a car rental. You may also have coverage on your policy that would extend it to legal liability for damage to non-owned autos.

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

A garage policy would cover a dealership. Their owned autos would more than likely be covered on a “blanket” basis as is provided by that policy type. So an accident on an unregistered/unplated vehicle would likely go unnoticed. For demo rides, you would sign a waiver, likely accepting...
