    Honda Shadow Riders

I'm a photographer as a second profession, so making things look better in a photograph than face-to-face comes fairly easy. That being said, MOST bikes look better in a photograph than they do in person and up close. Trust me when I say if you see it in person and up close, there's plenty of...

    Honda Shadow Riders

...I generally never post pictures or boast about my stuff (usually 'cause I'm too poor to have bragging rights about anything I own), but what the hell. It's my first bike. Tore it down and repainted it (bad custom airbrush on it when I bought it), added some parts, took some others...

I just got a quote for $120 plus tax for the part I need. It's not gonna happen. No DIY suggestions or other places to try for this part?

    Yamaha V-star 650 quote

...got a 93 shadow 600 for $1080 a year with State Farm. Got my M1 a few weeks ago. I'm 28 with a clean record on everything. Not sure if that helps or not. Since my actual cc on the bike is 583cc (under 600) and my bike is older and only valued at $2000, this might explain it. I was quoted...

Riding before course date (already registered)

...just to add to the fire on the devil's advocate side: I'm registered for the M2 course a week into April, took my bike out today for 13km up and down the driveway (about 26 times), getting it up into 3rd gear (50+km/hr). I live on a side road so my laneway has lots of gravel, potholes, etc...

    M1 in the mail?

...my address was wrong on them and they had to send me ANOTHER ontop of this. I have 4 in my wallet. Should make a trip to the local high school and sell them to pay for gas in my bike. ha!

    DIY help - exhaust shield

The shield is pretty thin -maybe 3mm. I could maybe form it myself, but for a couple extra bucks, I'd just get the actual part. The only issue is that I'm about 40km from the nearest Honda dealership, and in a 5.2L jeep, that's about $30 in gas...hence, why I was kinda hoping for a simple DIY...

    DIY help - exhaust shield

I know I can probably go to a salvage and pick up a part, but after the price of gas in my jeep, the item and my time, it's probably not worth it for me unless I'm in the area. So, I got my first bike and it appears as though the exhaust shield is broken off. I didn't think much of it at first...

New Rider, First bike: Which one??? (Guide to choosing your first ride)

Great article....I worked with a girl who bought a 650 Shadow as her first bike...she dropped $10,000 on it and the day she was suppoed to show up to work with it, she called in sick because she was in the hospital. When I saw her at work next and asked her what happened, she said she "crashed...
