I have used the Scala Q2, G4 and G9s. They all work very well and I have no real complaints. The main difference between the G4 and the G9 is that you can pair up to 9 people together on the 9's. The G4 only allows 4 people. Group chat works very well with these devices as well.

I personally would not tap into the headlight for Brian P's reasons. I am sure there's an accessory wire that you can tap into that is only active when the key is on. You may want to look for that and leave the headlight alone. Don't worry about turning the LEDs off when the high-beam is on.

I use Mothers too. I'll give this stuff a try. Some old school biker told me he used to use vaseline to bring the black back. Apply vaseline for 24 hours and wipe off and watch the shine. I am going to try that this spring and see what happens.
