Thats what I thought as well...I didnt think I had to drain the bowls and carb for winterizing...perhaps I am doing something wrong..I checked with a buddy whos also a rider and he says he never drains the carbs.
Hey Gatekeeper...no I havent tried that yet...I will give that a shot today when I get home from work. Question for you guys...is my winterizing process correct? stabil with full tank of gas and put the battery on a tender? am I always required to empty the float bowls and carbs?
You guys might be right...I called the dealer and was told that they would need to check first to see if it can be covered or not under warranty...whts interesting is I stored the bike according to their instructions...filled the tank with stabil and full tank of gas and then put the battery on...
Yes I do have the choke on all the way otherwise the bike wont even start up.
I will call Kahuna today to find out when I can bring it in...ill let u know the results once they find out...thanks guys:)
You guys are right I did not drain the carbs or float bowls...I'm not handy so I thought I cud get away without doing this...I'm gng to try using motul fuel system clean and some new gas first to see if that does the trick first...if not I'll get it checked by someone...it's still under warranty...

BTW the battery was on a tender all winter..this morning I decided to hook everything up and fired up the bike...it starts up...
Thanks all...you think it would be ok to leave the battery uncharged for a month? I will fully charge it before I leave but am nervous abt having the battery tender plugged in 24/7
Hey guys its my first year with the bike and am leaving for a month vacation in jan...is it ok to leave the battery tender jr plugged in to the power outlet while I am gone? will this do any harm or blow a fuse? what do you recommend?
sorry guys I didnt really ask him all the details but I remember him saying he adjusted the clutches and throttle..the bike felt a lot more responsive after I took it home. I know installing rim tape is easy but it was not something I had the time or the tools (bike stand) to do correctly. In...
