I use L in the Volt all the time, it's not even close to to L in the Bolt. Regen is less and the car never comes to a complete stop. After 14,000km in the Bolt it's weird going to something that feels more like a "normal" car.
I took the Volt to work yesterday and today for a change. My new commute is about 50km each way. With ERDTT set to the default yesterday the engine was cutting in frequently and I got to work with slightly less than half the battery remaining. Today, with ERDTT set to "Delayed" the engine didn't...
New Rebate info, some noticeable changes. Volt loses $1000 and Tesla disappears, at least until the Model 3 is actually available. EVSE and installation program now includes used purchases too.

Yeah, the Bolt has a true one pedal driving mode, the Volt doesn't. Maybe this weekend I can pry the Volt away from the wife and get some more seat time :)
I was more commenting about the rate of deceleration as opposed to the power generated. In L mode on the Bolt when you let off the accelerator you slow down a lot more than in the Volt, and come to a complete stop.
Nice thing about the Volt is that even on Level 1 at 12 amps it will charge fully overnight. A proper Level 2 EVSE is a necessity with the Bolt. Eventually I'll install a 240V plug to use with the included charging cable for the Volt, but 120v is fine for now.
I just changed jobs to be closer...
We picked up the new Volt yesterday, now I just need to pry it away from the wife for a little while to see how it really compares to the Bolt :)
First impressions are pretty good though, feels a bit more upscale than the Bolt. The Bolt is definitely quicker and the regen is much stronger. Have...
This company is bringing out a set of adapter cables to use the stock Lvl 1 evse from the Volt and Bolt with 240v outlets. https://www.quickchargepower.com/ Looks like only $19US, with a large variety of plug options.
They posted in the FB Chevy Volt Owners group about it a couple of days ago...
I wouldn't waste my time on the ones posted on trader or dealer websites, they're almost always not really available. The ones I have seen posted on FB are not posted anywhere else and the couple I called were legit. I nearly jumped on one when I was waiting for mine, but I didn't want a premier...
Anyone interested in a Bolt should join the Canada Chevy Bolt Owners group on FB. Several dealers and other people post on there when there is a car immediately available. If you are looking to skip the wait and are less picky about options you can get a Bolt a lot faster that way.
This is where the Bolt and Volt are a bit different. I tend to drive more aggressively in the Bolt just because it's fun and the range is high enough to not really care about it. I was way more cautious in my truck and certainly my old CTS-V because it was costing so much for gas. The instant...
The dealer gets their loaners from the local Enterprise rental location and they primarily stock medium and full size SUVs because that's what the local market is demanding. Blame the soccer moms, everything is their fault ;)
The dealers are clueless when dealing with EV customers. I brought my Bolt in for a software updated and was offered a Ford Expedition as a loaner. I declined and had them drop me off instead. It would have cost me more in gas than I spend in electricity in a week just to go home and back.
I haven't L3 charged to full yet, no proximity to an L3 charger, but I have heard from other Bolt owners that it will go to 100% but it slows down quite a bit starting around 80%. I usually have hilltop reserve enabled so I rarely charge about 87% anyway.
It seems like GM has had the push it needs.
