is that the one that has some rossi/italy stuff on it? if so i know who it is...they are selling to buy my bike ! woo lol
god i didnt realize that was the price!
however it did not sell yet, so if anyone wants it...
during that thaw last few weeks, there was whisper of a snow fall (which didnt happen). There was so much salt I was able to mash the gas on my car and slide around on the salt...
I think that counts as overkill!
I used a socket for my 27mm pin. Found several sockets that had a 27mm OD.
then used the pin that came with the front stand that fit in the socket that fit in the steering stem...not fancy but it worked just fine!
it must be February...lol
but it never ceases to amaze me how at the whisper of a centimeter of snow they are out in full force...forget the gravy, rob ford should stop the "salt" train
OK so i got even closer now, i think it was the bad battery plus bad gas and ****ing around with it so much flooding it and such.
it starts up and shuts off now at least...extremely smokey. should i be worried about the smoke?
just giving it a brake then will try again.
did new gas and new battery. still not sounding good.
i will try a few more things tonight, failing that...im stumped.
its tough to get the fresh gas pumping i think, she's still sounding the same as before.
first thing I tried was removing the Juice box. my map is dyno'd and perfect.
Problem seems to be the battery and stale gas.
glen lent me a loaner battery. it cranked way more convincingly and had some really good close turn overs. some smoke out the rear too.
so i guess the culprate all...
yea, its so much better when there is a definitive problem lol.
going for a session of bump starts and such, see what happens...
Cant remember how she cranked before, but I think it was much more assertive and quicker.
re checked with digital multimeter, 12.5 resting 10.3 with starter.
it almost started up with the timing chain cover off. not sure what thats about.

is that about how it should be cranking?
OK HERE IS THE SKINNY
1. checked spark - sparking ! however about a second between sparks. so 1..2..3..4..etc (normal i suppose) At first i didnt see spark...it took a few presses. maybe leading to the fouled/flooded piston area or something? someone mentioned electro-something-or-other?
2...
amazing suggestions, i will know if engine is turning over tonight. opening the right side case and checking.
johnny its just starter wine and a very very quiet deep noise from the engine. I think its turning over just not enough. but i can barely hear it.
i have a hill to try to bump start...
alot of people saying its still the battery...fml.
i dont want to go buy a battery to find out thats not the issue...i dont understand how Jumping couldnt negate that option. Im going to ****in multimeter the battery with and without load with the car hooked up to it...that should verify she is...
was it cranking? mine is just starter only...i think.
engine wont turnover, i pmd you a video
another thing I forgot to mention was when i tried to bump start it last week it gave me 1 massive backfire...it was pretty cool i have to say...made people jump.
not sure if that helps any...
no crank, battery is definitely fine
im going to check spark this weekend.
in terms of stator, i always though it would crank at least. but its worth a try
was your bike cranking at least? or just starter wine and no crank?
Would a stator go at such low km? 17500 k
thank you
no go, tried jumping. no dice
so i figure its either not getting spark (god knows why), or the starter motor connection to the engine is a problem
any ideas?
These plugs were put in last night to test what I thought was the problem, turns out the other plugs I had in were fine too.
So i removed these and obviously cant return em
$35 for the lot, they retail for $15+ each locally
