Rev it until is on fire!!

My buddy had a Ninja like that one and he noobishly loved to rev it to get flames out the back, especially if there were girls around to impress. Then I found this video a couple years ago and showed it to him. He pretty much stopped doing it. Oh and its not just a Ninja thing. No matter what...

are all dot 3 and dot 4 brake fluids created equal?

You are missing the very important DOT 5.1 option. The 5.1 is also Polyglycol and is the better version after 4. Most racing applications will use 5.1 in their brake systems. The DOT5 is NOT good for every day commuter cars and bikes because, even though it has a higher boiling point than DOT4...

Look! Queen is riding a CBR900!

I really like that bike. Always loved the purple/yellow combo from that era.

    $115/month SF - 2002 CBR 600 F4i living in toronto (age 30)- Is that a normal price?

100% correct. SF has a good portion of the sportbike market whereas it doesn't have much of the big cruiser world. That's what my SF agent told me when I signed up with them in March. They don't look at the class, just cc's. Oh and your age as well obviously.

Question for Scala users! Voice Dial issue.

Yes I have the Q2 Pro Multiset. The music works great. Once I turn on the Scala it automatically pairs with my iPhone via Bluetooth (as long as I leave it on) and then double tap the main button, iPhone starts music in random mode (just the way I like it) and it never cuts out no matter how fast...

Niagara Parkway - Grooved pavement and lots of dirt

Just as an update for the Niagara Parkway: I was warning fellow riders to avoid it but two of them told me they were on it recently and it was all done. I was a little surprised to learn they did the work quite quickly. I was on it yesterday and can confirm it's all done now. Some parts are...

Question for Scala users! Voice Dial issue.

Hey MacDoc. What do you mean "set iPhone with numbers"? I obviously have a populated contact list. I can get Siri to recognize when I say "call home" if I press and hold the Home button manually. The problem I am having is when I single press the CTRL button the Q2, I hear a beep that I pushed a...

Would you recommend this tire configuration???

If you aren't going to take advantage of what the tire is designed for, why buy it? Sport tires are great in specific conditions. What if you get rained out? Sure, they have treads which will somewhat disperse water but that isn't their primary job, nor secondary. I put sport-touring tires on...

Would you recommend this tire configuration???

Another possible scenario: Replace both so they match, keep the good front tire as a spare. A front tire would be a little more difficult to repair in the event of a flat because of how skinny they are compared to rears. Having a spare front won't do you any harm.

Question for Scala users! Voice Dial issue.

I understand what you mean. I failed to mention that my intention is not to actually make phone calls. Out of the 200 minutes I get a month, I use about 3 on average. The Voice Dial is what would be needed to conveniently ask Siri for directions or things like that. It's not that I want to make...

Question for Scala users! Voice Dial issue.

Hello fellow GTAM'ers. I found a fantastic deal on a Scala Q2 set (BNIB) for me and the gf. I know its old, but it'll still do the primary job it's intended for. I set mine up with my favorite radio station, bluetooth'd it with my phone and can also hear my music. Had the gf call me from her...

'02 R6 vs newer models (carb vs FI)

It sounds like a pretty decent bike, especially with so many extra parts. I have an 03 R6, first year of fuel injection. Complete redesign from the first gen. My friend has the 05 R6, it's unofficially considered half a generation ahead because they did significant changes. Mainly inverted...

Niagara Parkway - Grooved pavement and lots of dirt

I was there last week and all was well. Today was a different story. The north part of the parkway (from Clifton Hill to NotL) has a good portion of grooved pavement. It looks like they are going to resurface most of it, which is good because it has needed it for a while. I am not sure about...

    Tire Installs - Niagara/Hamilton

Aren't rims for Single-Sided Swingarms almost exactly like car rims? If that's the case, almost any tire shop in the world should be able to change that tire. If you're in the St Kits area, Queenston Tire on Ontario street is where I go for all my car/truck tire needs. They won't take the wheel...

Don't be the meat in a cage sandwich.

Can't read it now, at work. I'll check it later. Either way, the rider was very lucky. Does it say anything about the drivers of the Nissan and pickup? That's gotta be some nasty whiplash...

Don't be the meat in a cage sandwich.

I'm not so sure on that funeral story that is being fed for this video. Why would the Nissan stop if it was going other direction and also passed the lead part of the group? My theory is the cameraman is riding with friends but they were broken up. Friends pull over to wait. Nissan doesn't...

How to fight a ticket for not displaying a front license plate

I don't think it would. Well I want to rephrase that, because we know they will go after any reason to hike rates. It shouldn't. It's like having expired plates. Yes it's a ticket against you because it is your duty to keep your sticker up-to-date but it has nothing to do with how safe a driver...
