    clutch lever needed

I believe the same stock levers used on a GS500 are also used on other Suzuki bikes. With that being said, taximan62 is probably right that any Suzuki dealership should have them in stock. Worst case scenario is they have to order them in but it would take the same amount of time as if you...

    Tire Installs - Niagara/Hamilton

At the time I lived off Geneva St. It was a 4 minute drive from my house. Long story short, it was early March (2011), not much business flowing and he tried to take me for a ride because I was a new rider. Having more wrenching experience than he thought, I didn't appreciate it so I bought...

    Tire Installs - Niagara/Hamilton

I was personally not impressed with scmc but if others are vouching for him then it could of just been a one-off. Don't forget Clare's either just outside of Fonthill. No matter what shop you go to, it will be cheaper if you take your wheels off yourself and bring them in. It saves them a lot...

    clutch slipping :(

As the second pair of hands who is helping Xury on this, our biggest question right now is to find out if that crack leads into a part of the motor where we would not want oil, or if it belongs to another function of the motor. Is it an hollow channel that leads no where? Is it a coolant...

The wing-suit bar has been raised

So many things can go wrong, and any of those avenues don't have pretty endings. Glad they scoped it out properly and they seem well experienced to attempt something like this.

    State Farm vs TD quotes

Personally: 28 with '03 R6, licensed 5 years, 2 things on my abstract, 1350$/year with SF. My gf is with TD and the only reason she gets good rates on her car and bike is because she's part of the group rates from Brock University. I recently signed up with SF and when my agent asked me who...

Don't take riding lessons from the OPP.

Pretty sure he's just posing for the picture. It looks like the tires were on the gravel portion of the shoulder and the kickstand on the pavement, which is slightly elevated. The bike would of been pretty centered at that point which makes it really easy to push over. A gust of wind from a...

Don't take riding lessons from the OPP.

I found this via reddit. Pretty sure the bike fell over and the officer laying down is posing for the camera, but still funny regardless. Anyone recognize where this is?

This guy needs to be fired, pronto!

I remember the good old days where all Jeep vehicles were actually built for trails and unpaved terrains.

Got my renewal today from Javco-Intact.....

When I took my course with RTI, one of the instructors essentially said that you should shop around for insurance every year. Even if your renewal came in at the same price, it only takes a couple hours of one day to make a few calls for quotes, and who knows, you could find someone else for a...

just to be clear - no theft coverage if i don't have an alarm?

I know for a fact TD won't provide theft insurance without an alarm installed on a new policy. Also, don't tell them you installed the alarm because they may get you with the bs "it was not professionally installed so we can't tell whether it was working or not". Even if the alarm worked, it's...

    Chinese Rotors

For major components, I wouldn't cheap out on chinese knock-offs. Brakes are extremely important for yourself and surrounding motorists. Don't think of just your wallet for a second and I am sure you'll make the right choice.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

I've sent a couple replies to some kijiji ads with outrageous prices for an old bike telling them how they're asking way too much. Most of them are dealers trying to get rid of a damaged bike. In November i got myself a 03 R6 for 3100$. Not in the greatest shape bodywork-wise, but it was...

    LAPD Rampage Shooting...

I completely agree with your statement. They probably don't want to take the chance to try and make the driver pull over though, in case it actually is Donner and he comes out with a weapon and starts to shoot. The dumb cops are probably going with the typical Hollywood line of "shoot first...

    Cheap or free web hosting

ipage.com is 3$ a month. Very simple to use and I never had a problem with them. You get "unlimited" everything. What I mean by the quotes is if you start hosting media-intensive websites that exceed the fair usage policy, they will throttle you and contact you in order to bump you up a plan...

    Blown fork seal?

Was that 90$ for the pair, or per tube? I'm asking because I am the friend he is making reference to in the original post. I have never done forks myself yet, although I am not too bad with a wrench for most things and I learn pretty quick. I just did a bunch of work on my bike in the living...

Where to get helmet checked after fall

Reading that made me think of putting a melon in the helmet and then hitting it progressively harder with a hammer until the melon shows signs of "damage". Could be a good way to learn first-hand how well a helmet does its job.
