    Using Nitrogen?

Great thread! (Good for a wee laugh...) Daught dropped several coarse hints already, that our planetary atmosphere (the air we breathe) is approximately 80% nitrogen.

    Motorcyclist Killed in Anti-Helmet Rally

I didn't notice that! Yet it's right there on the front page of CBC's website today. So with all the crazy shyte going on, they have only this (stale) stuff to report...?

    Motorcyclist Killed in Anti-Helmet Rally

"lost control of his cycle, went over his handlebars, hit his head on the pavement and died..." http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/motorcyclist-killed-in-anti-helmet-rally-1.1113750

    Engine seized while riding

SeaFoam! Should not be running your bike, in hot weather, with that in your fuel... Is it not a strong solvent and cleaner? So how is that going to help keep your piston rings lubricated with motor oil at high RPM?

Pilot Road 4 on Super Sport

All comments are accurate... you will have more than enough grip. Canadian riders need tires that warm up quickly, and work well in the cold and wet. This specifically DOES NOT describe track-day tires, which will put you on your head late at night when everything is covered in a chilly dew...

Searching for my first bike, Can't decide

To ride motorcycles? Ya think? Okay. Good luck with that... I'm just not certain that little tiny women should wish to pilot motorcycles. Might be 'politically incorrect' but I'm not afraid to suggest it! Hopefully you are strong, lean and muscular - not at all soft and doughy. You do know you...

2009 ninja 250 break in question

True! But we still need break-in. New twirling and spinning parts are always going to have microscopic 'high' spots which, when the motor is running, become hot spots. And the timeless age-old prime objective of a good break-in remains: The mating of the piston rings to the cylinder bore...

    My dealings with MikeyMoto

Murchie, Murchie, Murchie... Did you not sell the wrecked bike to MikeyMoto? And then buy a new bike? So, it's not your bike anymore. What do you care what happens to it or who buys it? "Mikey, you messed with the wrong dude." Huh...? I know MikeyMoto and he's a good guy. Does good work too...

Dropped a bike, grass on the road, need advise

Not to interrupt you Lawyer types and legal arguments, but... The roads are the roads are the roads. They may be covered in debris, including (but not limited to) sand, mud, gravel, leaves, dead critters, blood, radiator fluid, motor oil... etc. Not to mention potholes, gutters, streetcar...

On new riders practicing in parking lots

Yes so true! Actually, this describes riding the Kawi ZX-14. One cannot use the handlebars to hold on! For exactly that reason... You can't close the throttle; it can be a big problem. The front wheel comes up and the back wheel spins. At the same time. You must be leaned forwards, balanced...

On new riders practicing in parking lots

I too was curious about this, but of course the RIP thread is not the appropriate forum, so... It's good to see this discussion. Sad to see some arguing, insults and 'ego' on display. (But what can ya do - it's GTAM.) The tale is told, a well-worn anecdote indeed, about the guy who went to pick...

    Helmet size question

You liked the PRICE of the HJC helmets, heheh... But they can fit kinda big; they're wide helmets, not real narrow face-huggers like Shoei's. And they can be heavy (weight) in the $149 range. Anyway: you may have figured out by now, that your head is pointy or wide or whatever? The reason...

Need someone to rebuild my honda 929 forks

$250 bucks is a fair, good price for forks off the bike, delivered, rebuild. Inspect and correct, oil seals and dust seals, fresh fluid. Sweet. But you can spend a lot of money on front suspensions, valve kits etc. Like Rider's Choice can hook you up with that stuff. Anyway your 929 front end...

    Beginning bike question

Hi John! Here's the thing, do you want a motorcycle or just your motorcycle license? Maybe concentrate on getting your license right now. And don't be planning on what happens after you fail because you're not going to. The examiners look for that decisive confidence that indicates to them...

RIP new rider at Conestoga College

Omigawd! That's just way terrible to hear. You SEE how crazy and dangerous at times our beloved sport can be... RIP brother. Sad condolences and best regards to friends and family. This actually reinforces one thing I remember from race school. They said never, never, ever go off the track into...

Fishtailing on it's own to a small degree

Is this a low-mileage GSXR750? I mean, tell me it doesn't have the original tires from 2002 on it... Anyway, Frekeyguy will measure it all up. Your forks could be tweaked or your rear wheel could be misaligned. Or worse. Get 'er done! Maintenance is a priority - tires, suspension, brakes...

    1974 CB125 engine noise

Clutch will make a helluva racket when idling in neutral... Simply pull in the (properly adjusted) clutch to temporarily remove all the thrashing/clattering. Speaking of clutch, yours will be trashed! 35-year-old clutch plates will be SOAKED through with oil, completely sponged. Garbage...
