I think you interpret this backwards. They use that statement because if an offender spits in their face, and that isnt written down, it didnt happen. Police notes are held to a high standard in court, and they are expected to be very thorough.

I'd love to hear the outcome of this appeal. While I do think that it is important to have a physical pink slip in the vehicle, it seems to me that if they are able to email a 30 day e-slip, then it should be accepted, and the officer can call to verify just the same. Good luck with it!
