Do you have to notify police you are recording them during an interaction....

Correct. You are not obligated to disclose evidence in your defense to the Crown. They have already made their case and laid the charge against you based on the evidence they have. You may now answer to this charge with your defense, and the court will judge based on a balance of probabilities...

Hard break in vs Manufacturer recommended

Tested and confirmed. The egg fried. I used McD's grease and was able to make some good hash browns as well.

    Riding without a helmet

As I recall reading somewhere, if you look in helmet vs no helmet states, the death rate is similar, but the cause is different. Obviously in no-helmet states it is head injury, but in helmet states, the causes result from excess risks being taken. Having a helmet, in short, gives the rider a...

    jack shaft garage door openers

I have the Liftmaster 8500 on my 1-car garage, and have helped 2 other friends install the same on a 1 and 2 car garage. I can say that I love it! First, it is VERY easy to install. 1 person can do it without any trouble in less than 2 hours. The hardest part is running all the wires for the...

Please sign my petition to allow straight pipes in Ontario for rider safety

From my personal experience with my bikes, I can say that louder pipes do make a difference. But to what extent (as in, save my life) I am unsure. I daily commute the 404 south from Newmarket to Toronto. Same time every day, same riding habits. Back when I had my SV650, I would notice several...

    Plate Improperly Displayed HTA 7(1)b(i)

Has nobody stopped to ask themselves, "why do manufacturers put the plates where they do?" The answer is probably to be in accordance with the law. Face it, the bulk of sportbike sales are driven by styling, so however they can look better, they will, and this includes fancy plate mounts. So, if...

Please sign my petition to allow straight pipes in Ontario for rider safety

So, instead of petitioning Transport Canada to require better horns, this is the best that could be thought up?

Not sure if police officer liked my dash cam

I have used a GoPro HD2 as a dash cam, and it can do the job well. I already had the camera for other purposes though, so it was a cost saving to use it, versus buying a new camera entirely. I have the skeleton housing, so I was able to plug in a USB charger, therefore battery was never an...

Hi all, selling off my Yosh slipons. Both are clean, with minimal road wear. They sound great, quiet when cruising, and loud when you get on it. I had them on my 07, but according to the Yoshimura site, the same part is used 2006-2009. MSRP $750 Asking $300 PM if interested.

Is it right to copy a custom bike?

Good artists copy, great artists steal (Steve Jobs). Be a good artist: reproduce it. Or visit the museum! ---------------------------- I say go ahead and do what you want. You will find incredible satisfaction at the end of the day when it looks just like what you wanted, and knowing you...

On and off ramps practice stopped by police

That is by and far the lamest excuse I have ever read. Go ahead and continue ramping, which is almost textbook street racing. It is practice for nothing, except the track, which is where you should do this. If you get impounded, you can't say you haven't been warmed.
