well done - shared common areas can be dodgy....we're having rain, G20 in town, military jets overhead, helicopers, protests.....all fun!!
I'll catch up with you on email later.
Great to hear. Keep in touch. Did you look at the Tartu College spot. Nothing fancy either but at $35/night at Spadina / Bloor.... Hope you have a great weekend too.
Ok - ask the examiner when they give you the run-down on the route. I was at Downsview and for example he told me to ignore the orange 50kph constuction zone signs and to go with the traffic flow.
Read the entire thread as there is a lot of valuable info, one if I recall that said you HAVE TO turn into the right lane, even if that's a bus stop lane.
Don't take my word though. Reading this entire thread won't take long if you skip the threads about the routes where you're not taking the...
Now a GM guy.:D Passed today at the Downsview location - 5 marks against me in the error box (but could only count 3 on the scoring sheet - meh). One rider before me (older guy) squeaked in on his 2nd attempt (650cc scooter) but another on a cruiser got only 2 marks against him - so I think they...
Pleasure to meet you too. Yeah - quite surprised to see you at that hour!! I was late too - traffic was exceptionally bad that day - actully really bad every day recently. Don't know what's up.
When: May 26
Where: northbound bayview - you turned off at pottery rd
You: riding a small cruiser with saddle bags (couldn't get beside you - another unknown rider on a 500R got there first to look at you. You were wearing white riding gear and a pink helmet and you had long blond hair:tongue1...
You justify the behaviours that "it's all good" and "he's helping trraffic flow" and then you agree about it giving us a bad rep? Doing good things does not gaive you a bad rep. It can't be both.
I'm done - it's wrong and we know it.
Etiquette and courtesy and perhaps selfish behaviour? I saw a car that went in front of him (safely) - probably to cut him off for douchbagery riding...and you wonder why SS riders have a bad rep:rolleyes:
Where: Northbound DVP @ 6ish by span bridge
Me: barely moving and fan blowing really hot air on my legs - roasting
You: sqidding on a SS with white T shirt, gloves and helmet SPEEDING in the shoulder
WTF makes you so important?
Thanks guys - this is City of Toronto Conservation lands so yes, it's for public use but the type of use is very restricted. Definately no motorbikes.
I had a link to a City of Toronto site about this area - it's called Crother's Woods if I recall.
don't ******** me on this one jamie. This is not meant for motor bike access at all - even from the top of Bayview at Nesbitt.
The "road" was access for recent sewer upgrades and the area is Conservatory Lands of the City.
I know this area very well. I ride my mountain bike down there weekly on Thursdays (so no L&L sqidding for me!!). WTF - I know the ways to get in there there frome every direction - you guys must have gone around the DO NOT ENTER signs and gates at the bottom of Pottery Rd. I used to ride with...
You should be ok as the place fills up. I take the extra effort to NOT park in front or behind a car. I'll often park so that another bike can park beside me, sort of reserving a spot or two - and I hope another bike parks beside me. It's a drag to be at the end of a row - that's where you...
The posted times are for when car drivers need to pay. You can park a bike there anytime. I've been there as late as 9 or 10 no problem and as early as 7 a.m. It's not a a rush hour tow away zone.
Re: Police State Canada 2010 and the G20 Summit
You'll likely be ok for access - the perimeter, while not confirmed, will probably not be south of the Gardener / railway lands. Likely Bay on the east, Wellington on the north, railway lands to the south and Blue Jays Way or Spadina to the...
