Oh I totally agree with you, I just wanted to make a point that not all crashes can be saved. Yes this crash was rider error because he chose to fly over a blind hill, and had a wrong line for that corner, way to close to the outside in the right tire track. He definitely could have avoided it...

If its cranking but not starting, your battery is probably fine. The reason it sounds like its dying is cuz you're just draining it trying to start it. Does it bump start?

You can also ride along the crosswalk at major intersections to avoid camera if you don't want to do all those turns ;)
