Just finished the weekend with the GSXR750. The bike is in decent condition, tires are fresh but the paint job is absolutely revolting. It's an ugly green and it was clearly done by an amateur. The bike rides straight and handles well. Everything checked out. I had a great time with it...

Sadly the person who rebuilt it is his friend. No clue on his reputation or skills and no warranty. It's a bit refreshing that he mentioned the rebuild, kinda makes me feel like he's not hiding anything else.

What I'm wondering is if the bike, being the 50th anniversary edition AND carrying a special VIN # to further validate that, will be worth more in the future. Will it be like a vintage type a thing in 20 years? Or will it be just another bike?
