If the shock has a hydraulic preload it may just need to be topped up with fluid and bled... depending on the design you may or may not be able to do this yourself. I would then compare actual preload adjustment travel to theoretical. I have an Ohlins shock that only gave 1-2mm of adjustment...

That'd be nice but I had his GoPro suctioned to my upper at the time. He was directly beside me when I checked up to avoid hitting the turtles after a poorly executed turn-in... we hit hard enough to bend an exhaust bracket on my bike but all ended well and we're quite pleased. :eek:
