Noise restrictions bylaw coming for Oakville

The reason why we have laws are that they are suppose to restrict unwanted or socially unwanted behaviour. Unfortunatly governments then depend on fines for a source of revenue, which is the wrong reason for laws/regulations. It does turn into a money making venture, a good example of this is...

Your case you cited involved an appeal because there was no evidence that no one was disturbed by the accused actions, this case I followed and it would apper the investigating offiicer failed to provide any evidence as such. If a couple of neighbours would have complained, than it would be a...

Noise restrictions bylaw coming for Oakville

Not all cities have 311, or for that matter full time by-law enforcement officers or by-law enforcement officer at all. There is more to Ontario than the Metro Toronto, so just because this is the way your employer handles certian laws, does not mean it is like that in other jurdicsions. Also...

In the body of any properly written by-law, there is a section in it that relates to who enforces a by-law, and it should read, by-law enforcement officer, municipal police officer , etc. etc. , depending on the regulatory by-law being written. This now gives officer friendly the right to...

    impark Parking Ticket

Depends, in some municipalities, if the private property owner has given permission for By-law officers to attend on private property, then the By-law officers can issue a "parked on private property without authority" tag and have the vehicle removed, even if it has a current plate.

Noise restrictions bylaw coming for Oakville

for the record, I think that pushing your bike outta your hood thing is ridiculous. The 10 seconds you hear my bike leaving from or returning to the neighbourhood under normal power isn't unreasonable. I agree with your overall sentiment, however you seem to be turning a blind 'thought' to the...

Noise restrictions bylaw coming for Oakville

Just remember if people do not abide by common sense, then it will be legislated to. 1968 was the the first car my family owned with seatbelts, but it was not until 1977 ( or thereabouts) that they legislated people to wear them. Yes I now live in Bala, and I hear the complaints from my...

Lost both keys to a newer bike and don't have the key code either...

You should be able to get a locksmith to come around and make a key for you at your house without taking the ignition out, if you have CAA, you can get a bit of the price covered depending on what CAA plan you have.

Try this in Ontario and see what happens

My wife is from Venezuela, when she was first here we stopped by the OPP at 9 pm for a burned out trailer light. ( slow night in Muskoka ), after a friendly chat, the Officer just said he wanted to make me aware of it and I was on my way. My wife did not sleep that night as she thought they were...
