Feedback and Suggestions for 400 km day trip route...

Thanks for the suggestion - been that way many times in the cage, and only a small piece of 119 on my bike. I actually live in Kitchener but as I wrote the thread I was in Stratford so my wording regarding my commute was mixed up!

Route adjusted... thanks for the suggestions. Thanks for keeping me away from the dirt! I recall hitting it once in the past but wasn't sure what road it was

Feedback and Suggestions for 400 km day trip route...

Hey I really like that approach! I don't care about the distance covered as it's just a number... Glad to see that you can fit a bike in with your family!

Your average KM per riding season.

Impressive numbers guys. That's odd... no response from the Horton's crowd that gather for free wifi that would be hard pressed to put on 1k a year, or the guys that ride from home to the gym in their shorts n tees - Model citizens of the "how to" of what not to do. Me: ~10k... shooting for...

Feedback and Suggestions for 400 km day trip route...

1000 km is quite a bit... especially with a 6'3" man crammed on a gsxr lol... The 400 km target was going to act as prep for more and more longer rides. The bike runs stronger than me so the nerves are more attributed to biting off more than I can chew ya know? I hadn't considered that no...

Feedback and Suggestions for 400 km day trip route...

Hi guys, I'm an avid day tripper, weekend warrior, usually averaging 150-200 km per trip in a Saturday/Sunday afternoon, into my third season now and I'm looking to push the envelope a bit more and try and do a ~400 km route to see how my body holds up (I'm an athletic guy, but, no amount of...

Thanks again for leading, Tim. If the mapped route is handy, can you PM it to me? If not, no sweat - there was some new roads on that ride that I need to re-visit! I needed a liter of Gatorade to replenish all the fluids consumed by my leathers... gees, what a humid night. Nice meeting all of you!

It was a gift so I don't know exact price... If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say $200 or so... They can do any bike... just show them a picture and let the cake maker's imagination soar!

    Edible Bike! (Birthday Cake Content)

I celebrated my birthday on the weekend, and, I received the most unique gift ever from my girlfriend -- a birthday cake of my motorcycle. As an avid motorcyclist, I really appreciated the gesture from my gf, and, was actually quite sad when the knife sliced it open to share with the other party...

    DIY: Visor Tinting (with vinyl)

Great DIY! My old man wants to add a 1/2" band across the top of his clear visor to act as a sun visor in a similar fashion... Where did you get the vinyl from? - EDIT: Haha, I should have read the whole thread... CT it is.. Thanks

Insurance for someone other than yourself riding your bike...

Good observation! That must be why they requested a photocopy of his license.. maybe they wish to do a background check on him before adding him. I also inquired about adding a second policy to my bike for my Dad only, but, they didn't seem to want to entertain that idea.

Insurance for someone other than yourself riding your bike...

For anyone else in a similar situation, a recent call to State Farm revealed the following: - Since my father is over the age of 25, he can ride my motorcycle as long as he is licensed with at least an M1. While riding the bike, he is covered under my policy, and, it a claim was to be made, it...

Thanks for the response. Looks like this hypothetical guy with the gsxr needs to add his father to his policy, or, move out and change his address haha.

Insurance for someone other than yourself riding your bike...

Completely hypothetical question here... I've sifted through the forum, but can't find an answer, and, I'd call my insurance agent but I don't want to alarm him or for him to place any suspicious notes on my account... so here it goes: I have a 2009 GSX-R600, fully insured through State Farm...
