    Scotch anyone?

For anyone traveling state-side, a 1L bottle of Johnnie Walker Double Black can be had for $49 US... As such, I've just added that to my stable :) For some reason, I like the bottle to sit around for a few weeks before I crack it open -- I like to build up some anticipation and suppress the...

    Scotch anyone?

Currently on the go... Glenlivet 15 Johnnie Walker Explorers' Club 'Spice Road' (picked this up at the duty-free in Baltimore in October -- one of my favs until it's gone) Buchanan's 12 Ballantine's Chivas Regal 12 -- not a huge fan Dewar's White Label Headed to Phoenix tomorrow so that should...

    Fatal at Kitchener roundabout

Many condolences to the rider's friends and family, may he rest in peace. Very sad to hear this. Just around the corner from my house and I'm in this roundabout twice daily... Way too close to home.

    50+ Sport Bike Riders

My old man isn't much for the internet forum scene but he does enjoy my '09 GSX-R600. He's 62 and whenever I go away on business, I lend him my bike for the week... Luckily we are about the same size so he can borrow my coat and gloves. The last time he dropped the bike off to my house, he was...

    Stung by a Wasp...

I forgot how much a wasp sting hurts until last summer when I buddy and I were riding through southwood and other muskoka backroads. It was warm out, so, I had my leather zipper a couple inches lower than the collar. To my surprise, that couple extra inches provided a perfect gateway for the...

Thoughts on my Condo Lock System

Missed that the first time around, my bad. Looks like he doesn't have the bike anymore or live in the condo, but, might still have the plates on new bike or next bike!

Thoughts on my Condo Lock System

Might wanna smudge out your license plate so that no one gets clever and tries to conquer your lock! Maybe I'm worrying too much, but, never good to show it IMO

    Michelin Pilot Road 4's

I've got a set of PR3's on my 2009 GSX-R600 which have about 7,000km on them. The rear has shown the slightest amount of flattening but it's debatable whether it's got a flat spot at all. Absolutely mint in the rain - lots of confidence on the rough roads on Manitoulin Island and around Southern...

    Velocity Sportsgear

Quite the read -- Very disappointed to see how it was handled. Reviews usually go one of two ways: The OP is nuts and the vendor chimes it to call him crazy, or, the vendor owns up and publicly settles the 'beef'. This one falls into a third category of piddly winks. Side note: I bought a $30...

    Common Model Problems Thread

I've got a 2009 GSX-R600 with 25,700 km on the ODO... (I've owned it since 2011 when it had only 3,100 on it). Only known issues are the rectifier and master cylinder issue which were both covered by recalls (100% resolved). So, make sure these have been done, otherwise, only money I have put...

Cleanest solution for storage for a sport tourer??

    1. SW-Motech Blaze Saddle Bags, 21 L each, $339.95 2. Ogio Tail Bag, 20.8 L, $89.99 Took a tour from Kitchener to Algonquin, and to Barry's Bay, Haliburton, all that good stuff etc... I really appreciated how easily the whole setup was attached and removed for day trips without the extra weight...

Cleanest solution for storage for a sport tourer??

What well regarded brand did you try? A lot of them need some custom work to make them fit correctly (stable, secure, away from heat, away from license plate and lights). I personally have the SW-Motech Blaze bags on my '09 GSXR and can't say enough good things about them... They are waterproof...

    Crazy Al's BikerLeathers.ca

Great to see that this was resolved in a very professional manner. In the past, I bought a pair of SENA SMH10's at half off and they arrive in a timely fashion and exactly as described. Big ups to Crazy Al's and I will buy from them again.

Bought bike from a shady stealership. Need advice.

Looking through the other ads for this particular stealer/dealer it looks as though they had multiple black 2009 600RR's... I wonder if the headlight was disabled, and these were used as a racing school bikes... This might also explain the suspiciously thin brake pad on the rear... Maybe the...

Your average KM per riding season.

Good valid points, and to each their own. I always like to promote how much more there is to motorcycling!... Some people are missing out that's all! Tim's makes good coffee so you'll see me there too along the way out of the city

    50% Off Bikerleathers.ca next 2 hours

Re: 50% off again at Bikerleathers.ca for next 2 hours I emailed them yesterday to see how they were making out with my order, and no more than a couple hours later, my order status changed to "shipped" (coincidence?) and my SENA SMH10 dual pack is on track to be delivered by the end of today.
