3 Day Trip to/from Pennsylvania (Starting in Kitchener)

Thanks for the amazing feedback guys. I do appreciate you taking the time to lay out some recommendations. I ran out of 'via' points on the google maps app which is kind of disappointing (if anyone knows how to increase the amount of these or knows a workaround let me know), but, I do have an...

3 Day Trip to/from Pennsylvania (Starting in Kitchener)

Hi guys, A buddy and I are going to be taking a 3 day trip down to Pennsylvania (approx. 400-500 km days, on sport bikes with soft saddle bags and a tail bag). I scoured a few of the threads on here about nice roads in Pennsylvania and stitched together the route in the link noted below. I was...

GSXR 600 - What tires are you using? Time for a new set.

As soon as I put Pilot Road 3's on my gsxr600, it was a hint that maybe the gsxr isn't the right bike for me anymore. I love the agility and the power, but, as I get a bit older, I'm thinking I need something more comfortable. But, for now, the tires are great and give me confidence in all...

The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

Anyone know of a good leathercrafter in the area? - I need a piece of velcro sewn back on to my leather pants (belt loop busted open - possibly attributed to a long winter) - I need a zipper flipped on my Teknic pants (or jacket) to mate up with my Speed Strength jacket (zipper is the same size...

Good deal! I've got the $50 but what I don't have is the body to fit into it! What type of suit do you have now?

    Scotch anyone?

Pulled the cork off my bottle of Cardhu 12 year last night... Good whiff of maple, but with no overwhelming sweetness, peat or smoke (don't get me wrong, this one is a great mix though), that's about as smooth as it gets in the $75 price range single malts.

    Keep my 05 CBR 600rr or get a 2008 r6

I'm a big dude as well (265), so, cool to know there are bigger dudes riding track...! I've ridden the 03 and 07 RR and they just don't feel proper to me -- marginally better than R6. However, my 09 GSX-R600 is the most appropriate (doesn't feel right saying 'most comfy') for me.

Painting a 2-Storey House, Top to Bottom (No Basement)

They spent a couple hours on day 1 patching and sanding the walls and a lot of time at the intersection between the ceiling and the wall due to the California ceiling over spray of about 1/2". Lines were pretty good when done. In bright lighting situations, you can see the transition between...

Painting a 2-Storey House, Top to Bottom (No Basement)

UPDATE: Day 1: 3 Painters worked 8 hours and finished two coats in the upstairs bedrooms (qty 3), and did all the upstairs trim and doors. Day 2: 5 painters showed up, worked 9 hours and they finished all 3 bathrooms, main level, foyer and all trim and doors and ceilings as we had agreed. The...

Painting a 2-Storey House, Top to Bottom (No Basement)

I've seen his work (has a team of 3-4 guys), it's pretty good. My saving grace is that the walls are in pretty good shape as is... minimal nail pops and not many imperfections to cover up. 2 coats, neutral colours. Those were my thoughts, with a crew of 2-3 guys, there isn't much leftover if it...

Painting a 2-Storey House, Top to Bottom (No Basement)

I know there a few trades guys on here, so, I thought I would get some feedback here... Pre-notes: I don't have the time or patience to paint the house on my own, or, with friends etc. etc., the old lady often has clients that come in and out of the house so I need it done within a few days so...

I don't have the whole story here -- But, did you not tend it at all over the winter?... Weird that it worked before storage but not after?

+1 for one good rainfall (that's what I say since I'm in the office 5 days a week anyways) -- battery is charged, and the key is 10 feet from the bike on the other side of the wall. Another fella on my street has a pipey Harley so no one notices me :)

best, largest soft saddlebags that you know of?

Completely understand. My setup caters to the needs of a 3-nighter trip or so. The smaller size keeps me from bringing too much junk. If there was a good hard-case setup for my bike, I would own them but the ultimate move for me is to get a sport-tourer and do it properly (with added comfort at...

best, largest soft saddlebags that you know of?

    1. SW-Motech Blaze Saddle Bags, 21 L each, $339.95 2. Ogio Tail Bag, 20.8 L, $89.99 Last year I took a tour from Kitchener to Algonquin, and to Barry's Bay, Haliburton, all that good stuff etc... I really appreciated how easily the whole setup was attached and removed for day trips without the...
