Just another FYI, I don't think they will ask you where things are on your bike. At least, they didn't when I took the test. You just ride, follow all the rules, don't speed, proper blocking position, you'll be fine.

I did. Bought 2x chain lube, 1 cable lube with attachment and 1 chain cleaner. Came to just over $50, they took the coupon without any problems.
My bag kept triggering the alarm sensor, but that's another issue. =p
Please check the whole lot for gravel and sand before practising. A lot of times, in the far back corners, there will be a build up of sand from cars not driving there. That is also where you will be doing turns and leaning your bike. Leaning over sand/gravel, not a good idea...
Plus one 4 the 250. You will be happier.
If the saving are big, go used because there is a good chance you will lay the bike down. But around here, used bikes go for almost as much as new bikes. -o
