Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Yes, 2014 data, but I think would still be close. https://natural-resources.canada.ca/our-natural-resources/energy-sources-distribution/fossil-fuels/crude-oil/oil-supply-demand/18086 Canada produces more oil than it can consume. As a result, Canada is a significant net exporter of crude oil...

If my helmet was stolen ...

When I first started riding, in the stone age, I use to leave my helmet with the bike using the helmet lock on the bike. Came out from work one day, helmet was gone. They had cut the chin strap. Helmet is now useless, so thinking it was a motorcycle hater. Quick look in a nearby dumpster, there...

    Speed camera threshold?

"The numbers tell a tale: in the 10 months since the camera was installed on Parkside Dr. in April 2022, 21,252 tickets have been issued for speeding infractions—the most among Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) cameras in operation. It is also the camera in operation the longest. The average...

Riding Down Under - Tropical Cairns Australia

Bit surprised you couldn't get more speed out of the bike. I had a CB100 and a CB175 and both would easy do 110 - 120 kph. Although looking at you picture, mmm, I was maybe 145lb back then.

    Gasoline Shelf Life

I am trying to avoid trouble with my car. Last 5 years doing less than 1,000 KM a year. I add SeaFoam every fill-up, which is only every 7-8 months. Ya, I'm a hermit. Stihl has you covered, contains stabilizer.

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Back then you needed a chauffeur's licence if you made money driving. I got a job driving a 1/2 ton delivery van so wrote the test. Now I can drive an 18 wheeler, not that I have ever sat in one. lol. Did come in handy though, it "grandfathered" me when I did drive real trucks with air brakes.

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Not on purpose, back in the 60's & 70's I spent my summers at the cottage, so did my 'M' there. Tester just stood on the street & watched, never got passed 2nd gear, 3 lefts, stop sign, straight through, 3 rights back to tester. Didn't fall off so you pass. Now I'm good to go 401?

    COVID and the housing market

I use to work for a builder, I did finally inspection before the closing. House and outbuildings are top notch. Well maybe the paint colour not my liking. Included a 25% down cheque with offer. Can only wait.

    COVID and the housing market

Ah, I may misunderstand, but my offer has not been on the table for 6 months, the listing has. My original offer was 10 days. Ended two weeks ago, so now they have till the 22nd. If they had been upfront and asked more money, I may have been more inclined to play ball. Pulling a stunt like this...

    COVID and the housing market

Six months, no price change, up or down that's why my offer was 90% of asking. My offer only changed from 10 days to accept to 30 days. Same price. They want to play games and say they have better offer, I say go for it. I just gave them longer to realize I won't play their game.
