Cost wise. Yes you are right. But from the sheer amount of red flags, I have seen during Track days (how many good laps could the riders put in on the 30ths?) the cost per lap is totally different. There are far fewer red flags, and incidents that need cleaning up racing, than on track days.

The reason why there were so many crashes has less to do with Track day heros, and more to do with the Cold temps. You all would have been losing heat from your tires out there, rather than gaining. So the track surface was a little glass like. Combine that with people that like to push hard...

HP will only go so far on an RD chassis. Also (speaking from a lot of experience) they go bang a lot over 70hp. The VRRA is a great place to go and race period racebikes vs period racebike, but the RD gets screwed by the rule book because of amazing the bike was back in 81 when it came out...

No, I would say it has everything to do with the fact the LWT 300 grid at RACE has 20 bikes every weekend. Opening the manufactures from a 1 bike spec class to include every manufacture is just smart.

My SV650 has Michelin Power RS tires on it. They are new for this year, and are freaking fantastic in ALL weather conditions.

Vintage guys are too busy with their series that dwarfs CSBK in terms of bikes on grid, and riders. When was the last time a CSBK grid needed a waved start because there were so many bikes?

Interesting. When I put my Power RS's on my 400 he asked if I was going to use warmers. The tires dont need them, but he said it was better to use warmers when coming off track to help slowly bring down the temp. The RS is also a race compound street tire, so that maybe the difference.

Explanation please? Ive been using warmers on street tires.....
