If anyone could recommend a good shop/person to help me out with some custom highway pegs that would be awesome. I've looked into just about every aftermarket option available for my bike and there really isn't anything that seems like it would work. The bike is an 09 Bonneville (I have the...
This may not be of any help but I recently ran my 09 bonneville dry just to see how far I'd get on a tank of gas.... I didn't know this could happen. I haven't noticed any difference after filling up though, and my bike has just over 5000km now as well. I'm curious to see what the issue is here...
IMHO.. keep the 250 for a while, ride the hell out of it then upgrade. You'll be happy you did as it will make the transition to a more powerful bike a lot easier and more fun. This is year 7 for me and looking back it's hilarious how good of a rider I thought I was in the first couple years...
Catalogues are nice but I was hoping to be able to hold the bar up to the bike and see how it fits/feels.. It's always harder to tell what you're getting based on a picture (ex: online dating. lmao)
Thanks for the link though, will check it out regardless.
Exactly. I just sold my Z750 (which I miss like hell by the way) with 96000km and it was running better than the bike I just bought with 2000km (time for a tune though..) but really bottom line is maintenance.
Well I'd love to be able to run 300km without stopping (buddy rides a vstrom) - Did it on my z750 a few times (averaged about 260 on a tank though) and the Bonneville seems to go a little less than that (smaller tank so it's expected). It's almost more of a mental thing because the low fuel...
So my new bike doesn't take me as far on a tank as I'd like, especially for multi day trips. Anyone have any suggestions on what sort of canister to use and how to secure it? I was thinking of attaching something to the outside of a tail bag rather than storing it inside one.. The bike is an 09...
Thanks guys. I ended up ordering the Arrow 2-1 pipes today, so worst case scenario I'll have to get some custom made highway pegs later on. Yeah I've been on all the triumph forums, it seems nobody has tried setting the bonneville up with the arrows and highway pegs. Pics to come when I get...
Newman - It's actually a 130 Rim and I figured going a size up won't hurt so we're both thinking the same way here haha. I think going up 2 sizes would be a bad idea though.
DoubleJ thanks for the info, I'll look into those for sure.
Anyone have any tires they can suggest that come with a 140 (17in) rear? Only ever really had experience with 180 so this is all new to me, it's weird not having limitless options anymore haha. Thanks.
