    +1 to PJ's. They always ship to Canada as gift, so no tax. Also, once, they took back and fully refunded a defective slip-on, even though the manufacture denied the issue.

    I haven't had a single problem with Ballistic battery. Except for times when temperature droped to ~ freezing mark, but that should be expected. Even then, it took just a couple of tries to fire up the bike. +1 to Ballistic!

    Kid's bike ownership?

    Thanks guys! I did some search, and found contradictive info. Apparently, some people could easily register bikes with just bill of sale and afidavit, but others had a lot of issues. Seems like it depends on how luckly you are :). In my case (known my luck), it's probably not worth it :(.

Do I understand correctly, that if a bike is ridden anywhere outside a private property, if must have plates and an insurance? And it's impossible to get them without ownership...

    I'm looking for a small, 50 cc, bike for a kid. Preferably, Honda CRF/XR 50 or Yamaha TTR 50. I noticed, that many ads on kijiji mention that they don't have an ownership. Should I be concerned about it (like stolen, etc.)? Do these bike have to be registered?
