stuck on what? do u mean, it just flashes once and stays on all the time? it must be the wiring. check and trace your ground wire. make sure its connected properly and not shorting out.

my vote was and still is that you replace the whole part. if u do that and still want to fix the old part, u can take your time with it and if you succeed, that will be a spare part. never a bad idea for a spare part imo. but if u do decide to bend the part with pliers, try to heat it up first...
