    Motorcycle Movies Thread

Same here about Easy Rider. I still enjoy the soundtrack on a regular basis. I heard about "Then came Bronson" but I never saw it.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it

Agree 100% I think vintage bikes are junked when "modified" in bobbers, cafe, etc.

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

Nice bike but a bit too sporty in riding stance for my old body...

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

Good thinking as I also thought at a DR-Z400SM. Anyway, I finally found a 2007 MT01 locally that I decided to buy. I'll pick it up in about 4 weeks after I moved to my new house. I do believe its V-twin engine to be quite different than my previous inline-4 bikes. If I ever discover to not like...

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

Thanks! I found one locally (province of Quebec) that I'll probably make the trip to see next week. I'll keep that one in mind if the first one do not turn as good as expected.

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

I just did the same search again and 7 keep on showing up, including the one you found on auto trader. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on those as I'm not ready to buy right now. I'm moving in 2 months and the focus need to be on this move.

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

Strange as I just found 7 in province of Quebec, 2 being at dealers. I know FZ1 is a nice bike but not at all what I'm looking for.

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

Not everyone think that way but I do. I think the MT01 is, well, original and very european in its look. And from my reading, its features seems to fit my bill. And that engine... I have the chance of having my Versys 1000 to start the riding season; I'll keep my eyes wide open and will surf the...

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

Well, I suppose it depends what you compare to what. I see in your profile that you have a FJ09. Compared to my Versys 1000, FJ09 produces considerably less torque and at about 1000 RPM higher in the rev range. So, not viable for me. But thanks anyway for the suggestion.

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

That pretty much sum's up my thinking; thanks! Monster 1200 would probably be a good choice. But, as I wrote, reliability and maintenance costs stands against it. In addition, there is no Ducati dealer close to where I live and, finally, selling prices are closer to $10/11K while MT-01's is...

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

Geez; that's a good question!! I'll try to answer my way (and to myself...). My last 2 years: Versys 1000 The 22 (twenty-two) years before Versys: 1 x ZX11C and 1 x ZX11D The 16 years before ZX11s: 1981 KZ1100 shaft I intend to keep the Versys and I'm looking for something "refreshing". I would...

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

No need to import; MT-01 was sold in Canada from 2006 to 2009. I read all your answers; thanks! I want a japanese bike even if I'm looking for a second ride; reliability and low maintenance cost are the clues. I also want something else than a inline 4. In my head, a triple is to close to a 4...

    Fun bike Qs (MT-01 ??)

Now that I'm retired (so with more free time), I'm thinking at restoring old bikes and also, at getting a fun bike. This fun bike will not be new or too old; thinking at 2000~2010 for a not prohibitive cost. Must be japanese, may be a V-twin but absolutely not a cruiser and, ideally, not a 4...

Looking to borrow ECU of a 2017 or 2018 Kawasaki Versys 1000

Follow-up just to close the loop. **************************************** A I wrote in post #53, the guy found (and borrowed) a 2018 ECU (same as my 2017's) from a Kawasaki dealer and sent it to Woolich. It came back and I finally received a corrected ECU. I installed it and, as wished, the...

Yamaha with LH threads on mirror: Who have one?

I'm looking to get adaptors to convert LH threads to RH threads and all the adaptors seems to be made for Yamahas. However, it needs to be M10 x 1.25 mm pitch as it is what I have on my Kawasaki. All thos I found on Ebay have the standard M10's pitch of 1.50 mm. If someone have such a mirror...
