I got the GT-Air
Manufactured Aug 2016. So older bucket. Only has a DOT sticker on it. Probably won't get though SNELL as it has a sun shade. However may have gone through SHARP. But nothing officially in the box or helmet.
Mine differs in colour only

Damn!
Bought a Shoei helmet. It is only DOT certified. Thought I was getting a good deal on a $900 helmet for $260, new. If they are failing it is no longer a good deal.
Well at least it has a sun shield.
Thank you for your post.
I did indeed kick myself however I'm not losing any sleep over it. Like you said will no doubt be another deal. Someone highly motivated. And may even be a better transaction (seller, price location whatever).
I have looked into V Star and sat on a few. No never...
Thanks. I have no doubt it would have been a longer drive as 45 min was best case scenario.
I also took a suggestion from here and implemented it. In retrospect I should have just accepted the price at $1800. I knew it was priced to go as most other V-Stars are priced about $2500. I just...
Whow! Now that is hustling. And I don't mean the bad type of hustling but, " to move hurriedly or unceremoniously in a specified direction " meaning.
Thank you for taking the time to post and share Mad Mike.
Thank you for the post.
I asked the questions I thought I was supposed to. Also thought I was being considerate. Getting further detail before wasting his time and becoming a "tire kicker".
Looked like a great deal and I lost out. Taking that lesson and will apply it next time.
I...
I agree.
If agreed on price prior, don't show up and try to hustle.
Now if there are issues which the seller never mentioned then walk away or discuss the new "information" on hand
There should be no offence from the ask. You never know what you get until you ask. I think a lot of us are afraid to just ask. And when I'm saying ask, i do me politely. Not pushy. It's the pushy part that can be offensive.
Thank you for the offer. Its 800 so my insurance will have a small...
Well, I lost out.
Bike sold and I wasn't the buyer. :(
I don't think I started off badly, just asked if he had paperwork and the status of the bike as he didn't really have a good description.
I don't think I really got the chance. Perhaps my first line should have been "when and where"...
Agreeable. I did who and haw. However I did finally ask him when can I see it after the last text msg seen in the above pic. Aroun 1pm. He never responded. I called him at 2:30 and got the "Can't talk, text me". Was willing to go. Had someone to come check it out with me. But they aren't...
I agree not too far but that would be with low-moderate traffic. Rush hour would be over an hour.
But why waste both parties time (especially mine) if it doesn't meet my requirements. If it needs work done, I'll like to know that before going. I don't want to show up and see a bike that...
So I call him. I get his VM while I'm leaving him a msg I get a text from him
"Can't talk, text me."
I thought I was texting him. But he is just not responding.
I will leave it on his court to follow up.
