    12v outlet

a 12V socket will have 0 amps being pulled when nothing is connected so dont worry about draining down your battery. Now if you intend to connect a GPS (or other device) and might forget to disconnect it then, yes it might be a good idea to tie it into power that is only on when the ignition is...

    Anyone hate tobacco/smoking/nicotine?

I grew up with both my parents smoking - in the car in the house - it was the late 70's and early 80's so thats just the way it was. They both did quit and I vowed never to smoke. While I do admit to the odd cigarette while drinking when I was in high school I am very happy that it never "took hold"

    Detroit Bankrupt

I am considering it. I would suggest you look at some of the roads in google maps, its quite an eye opener as they are really rough and in some areas the minor roads are barricaded and overgrown. It seems like an awesome place to rip around on a dual sport. I just dont know about the natives and...

    dummies

A former St. Catharines resident who now lives in Florida, Duff said he's driven over the bridge many times in the past. "They've got to be able to stop that thing," he said. I hope that he was refering to himself driving when he said "that thing" Some people are just completely oblivious.

Another Baby Left in a Car.

I am sure the legal implications of his idiotic behaviour are the least of his worries right now. Just imagine going home and explaining to the wive.

Re: First Bike Purchase - Street or Dual Sport - Thoughts + Considerations Apprecia the KLx has 6 gears but even with that 120km/h puts it pretty high into the revs and I feel that its wringing its neck - It might be perfectly fine for the bike, I dont know. I mainly find the seat...

A whole new world opened up with a helmet change for around town...

March 18th 3:14pm 2003 -did you not get the email???? Personally I wear a full face helmet and am happy with that but if you feel "safe" in your skid lid go for it. These are all personal decisions we make. My thinking is that safety is just an illusion - you can wear the best in safety gear...

Problems acquiring insurance ( because of traffic tickets) solutions?

I had 3 tickets on my abstract when I got my new bike. Insurance wasnt that difficult I just called around and ended with a broker for Jevco for decent rate. As mentioned pull up your own abstract - its $12 but it will also give you when the tickets with "expire" after 3 years. Perhaps sucking...

    Online Store for Survival/Outdoor gear?

for decent gear at decent prices check out Chinook. http://www.chinooktec.com/ They dont have the name brand recognition so I dont think you pay the inflated prices that go along with them. I have used a micro palm sleeping bag and some of their dry/stuff sacks for years and I have never had an...

Ted @ Rosey Toes - Thanks!

I bought some tires for my bike and when my original plan to have them swapped fell through I ended up at Teds. He quickly went over the bike, tightened a loose shifter, showed me that I had the chain too tight and was wearing my sprocket down prematurely and showed me how to properly lube the...
