Hmmm maybe you need to consider changing your lane positioning so you are blocking ? Usually when Im stopped I'm in one of the tire track lines so there is no room for a car to pull up right beside me in my own lane.
The "US" vs. "THEM" mentality is well entrenched in U.S. social realities not just when it comes to external or global affairs - look at the almost exclusively two party political system - the strong exclusionary racial ideology that still propagates - i.e. gated communities, racialized ghettos...
Most of the people who are going into debt to fund their education do not fall into this category. Most of them are "hoping" (perhaps misguidedly so), for a good return on the investment, meaning getting a job or career that is better then the one they would have been able to get otherwise...

Are you sure about this? I think in reality people who graduate from these "top echelon U.S. schools" do actually on average earn an exponentially higher income.

With the cost of education constantly increasing and the current employment/economic climate... investing 40 K plus (at minimum) on an education can set you back a lot if there is no return on your investment. That's just the hard cost, not even factoring the lost income you could have been...
