    Looking to Race with SOAR

Read my last post. It explains my position. The non-existent two strokes are a non-issue. If all of a sudden we see an influx we simply resurrect the Formula Two Stroke class. But I cant see that EVER happening.

    Looking to Race with SOAR

It was a dominate bike that has many other options. With the influx of smaller machines from Honda, Kawi,Yamaha and KTM it just made sense and NO nobody complained we make rule corrections every year and this is just one of them. Just for the record I am the guy that wrote the Ltwt Production...

    Looking to Race with SOAR

    1) I race a SV650 it looks like I can race in lost era and lightweight super bike. Does each class race once on Saturday and once on Sunday? Does the registration for each class cover one race? I guess just school me on the track time per weekend if I'm in two classes. The SV will be removed...

    2001 Neon Ministock

I bought this car to road race. However road race rules are quite different and although this is a turnkey previously raced ministock the mods needed are too extensive soooo I decided to go a different route. This care was campaigned and was a class winner at Deleware raceway. It has a five...

Shared Wrenching Spaces for the Winter in Downtown Toronto?

At the time it was in Bowmanville not east of. Granted not in Toronto but only 45 min drive from the core. Anyway dont really care I wasnt into doing it for the "cash" I was attempting to help. Likely just as well anyway. To get space suitable in the core would be hard and costly making an...

Shared Wrenching Spaces for the Winter in Downtown Toronto?

This is a funny thread. I offered up space in my shop a few years ago. Got crickets. Space included lift table and use of specialized equipment (basically everything you can imagine including press,TIG,paint booth, fluid and tire disposal etc. ). Shop was heated, insured, zoned and alarmed. I even...

Have you guys got your track bikes inspected by cops?

I remember cops at Shanny in late eighties early nineties checking stuff. Later I heard that they were there for one guy and did a "sweep" , not sure if that was to cover targeting without a warrant or just because they were there anyway? I dont remember anyone getting busted. BrianP you were...

Do track day organizers allow aerial filming?

No drones at SOAR while track is hot. I was controlling the track at the filming of the show in question. Because it was a closed set and used in filming it was decided that the drone could be in peripherals shooting sweeping shots and pans.It was NOT to be over the track ahead of riders. It...

Mounting a forward facing SJ4000/Go Pro to a track bike

I started requiring SOAR racers to tether cameras a few rounds ago. I was getting 5-10 a weekend falling off. Since then I told them they would be checked at pit out, if I found one I would remove it there and rider could claim after their session. If I find one on the track I am keeping it...

    So who's building a 300 track bike?

Thoughts. First all of you are missing ONE huge point here. Kawasaki is not doing this to offer a start up option for racers. THEY WANT TO SELL motorcycles, plain and simple. As for the costs of the kits as they would say "thats racing". Did money change hands to be on the "official list"...

    Friday Trackday/SOAR Practice

Actually it is a trackday. Its just not your "typical" trackday with the usual restrictive passing rules. But yes it went along much better. The racers also needed to realize that they need to give a bit extra space to the trackday guys and this is only practice. I have to say both groups did...
