I finally got a 240v plug to charge at home. Been using the charger that came with the car and regular outlets since I bought the car over 6 years ago.
It sure is sweet. As a renter I haven't been able to install a 240v plug till now.
Best wishes and speedy recovery.

I rode my 2000 VFR800 out that way.
There's a thread about it:
To Beartooth and Back
I did Pikes Peak which was gorgeous, and a must. My bike has a primitive Fuel Injection system and it was fine. The only difference I noted was louder cracks and bangs from my exhaust on decel, but I like...
I volunteered with Meals on Wheels for awhile. There are two parts to the gig: Driver or Runner.
As the Driver you bring your car and you drive yourself, the food and the runner around to the addresses to drop off the meals. When the runner is making the delivery you have to pack the next meal...
Bah! I knew I shouldn’t have said anything.
Got home today to the “Service High Voltage Charging System” message and my car won’t charge.
Quick skim on the interwebs says battery coolant might be low.
Yeah. That makes sense. However, considering I'm parking in a garage in the house of the landlord I'm renting from, with other people living in it, anything involving the outlet I plug into is not within the realm of my decision making...and the last person my landlord got to repair something in...
Yeah I read the same.
Both really. For now I should spend money on the brakes and a new battery before I go buying a new charger.
I appreciate the info on being creative however I would want to do things the correct way when it comes to electricity. Working for the fire department...
So I have rolled over 200,000kms on my 2014 Chevy Volt recently. I am a superstitious guy and don't like to say things like "The car has been trouble free!" because that usually leads to something bad happening. So I will try and stick to the facts.
The Volt has been quite maintenance free. I...
I guess the best way to figure this out is to pump into a (hopefully accurate) container and then see what the Pump says.
I am more curious about what happens when you try and pump premium fuel when the person before you pumped regular. Is everything that's already in the hose regular fuel and...
lol that’s interesting, though I think with the carb I’d need to find a way of injecting more fuel at the same time.
I recently found the air filter is quite filthy and maybe even original. While I’m waiting for a replacement air filter I removed the airbox and just stuck a pod filter on it and...
This past weekend I took the bike to visit my dad in Mississauga. It's about 25km's ~ 35-45mins away when avoiding any roads with 80km/h limits. (I know I can travel on these roads legally, however I don't wanna hold up traffic)
The trip was uneventful except for one dumb lady in an SUV. As I...
Yeah! Exactly :)
Now don't ask me what happens when you try shifting from 3rd gear into Neutral but at 50km/h 🤷♂️ I'm too scared to try.
I hope it doesn't go into 1st 🤔
You would think so right, however if we use Google Translate on the label:
You are unable to shift into Neutral until the bike comes to a stop.
So how I've been riding is when I'm coming to a stop I don't down shift at all and when I eventually stop I shift down into Neutral...then into...
