trying something new re lapping days Sat Oct 11th and 19th

We will come. A quick sweep at lunch after cars then bikes in the afternoon sounds better to me. Cold track in the am hurts us bikes alot more than cars.....most cars I see at trackdays are pretty nice Porsches etc.....never see leaky rustbuckets there.

    SOAR Racing Thread

Paulo was ON FIRE I tell ya!! On fire.......next to Westbrook, Paulo was the 2nd fastest man PERIOD, on the track for endurance!......3 degrees celsius, rain and sleet, and ultimately hail and snow by the end, and he was flat out flying.

    Pennsylvania's booked up this weekend!

Ever since fracking for oil on unsuspecting land owners has become commonplace in the appalachians, the motels and hotels are always booked up-regardless of time of year or weather.

What did you do to your Race/Track Bike today - 2014

Umbrella girl? I thought it was your FINGER that was amputated? LOL Just kidding.

    Carbon fibre wrap

I buy it from Spruce, the local aircraft supply shop. Carboncat has extensive experience in how to use the resins to cover your existing bodywork, then use automotive UV protective clearcoat to make it shine, protect, and not yellow from sunlight. I spent less than $250 for the carbon fibre and...

    Kawasaki Ninja H2...750 cc supercharged.

At 220 hp, a boosted 1000 would be extremely understressed-probably for warranty and safety reasons. I am assuming the blower drive might be something similar to the CVT transmissions we see today, on a smaller scale, with the ecu determining the drive ratio needed at any given moment by reading...

Repair and repaint of track bodywork

Further than materials....does anyone here honestly believe that any tradesman who is proficient in his craft, has invested many years (decades possibly) in learning it, buying tools of the trade, and building a reputation, is not worth at least $40/hr for merely his sweat equity? I know alot...

    Danmoto Exhaust Group Buy?

I would love to join this GB (with the dB killers included so it's not too loud), if they would simply make their mufflers a little longer. They are all too short for my tastes. I have a friend with these on his Moster, and they are very nicely made, and sound awesome. My KTM has stainless...

    Kawasaki Ninja H2...750 cc supercharged.

Wastegate is in the exhaust tract, allowing exhaust gasses to escape thru the tailpipe without passing thru the turbine side of the turbocharger, as the wastegate only opens when max pre-determined boost is already reached. Any more exhaust would simply drive boost levels too high, theus the use...

Disrepectful Trackday Riders- Don't Bother Coming Anymore!

Ramon isn't a bad rider.....but from what I saw, I would bet 1:25-1:28ish is more in the range of his skillset. I could be wrong, but I'd be more inclined to believe a lap timer than trackside folklore. TAFB and Ramon would be a great race to watch, as I suspect their laptimes would be pretty close.

Disrepectful Trackday Riders- Don't Bother Coming Anymore!

You and I both know that simply isn't true. The bike probably had antifreeze in it the week prior at TMP when Donald discovered that your 5.5" rear wheel was loose on the rear axle as it was too narrow for your 1000's swingarm.....the day you tried to sneak in...remember?.....and you probably...

Disrepectful Trackday Riders- Don't Bother Coming Anymore!

Thanks Dave- Working trackdays is a constant matter of juggling, and each person you are dealing with has a different personality and ambition than the next- so you try to be adaptable and meet people at their needs. We did deliberate about it, and were a little torn as to how to deal with it...

Disrepectful Trackday Riders- Don't Bother Coming Anymore!

This is 100% right on the $. When this thread is pointed out to the people involved, rather than apologize and promise not to re-offend, we hear that we're just a bunch of trolls and are jealous of his Rossi-like riding abilities on a mere streetbike, and shouldn't be allowed to tell him to...

Remeber these faces and be sure to let them know how much you appreciate their concern for your safety and being able to finish out your trackday. The fellow said in his reply about this thread that he has crashed before and with full fairings, no antifreeze ever leaked...I guess he has also...
