    Motorcycle hitch carrier

I put my Daytona 675 on a PA carrier once when the rectifier died on me 70kms from home. I think the carrier is rated for 600lbs, which in all honesty seems excessive. My rear tire did not fit in the rails though, just sat on top. Made the trip home without a problem. It was normally used...

    Any concrete guys here?

Mapei LFT is available at Lowes, isn't expensive, and is good. You don't need to buy Schluter thinset to get good thinset. Buying the correct (modified/unmodified) thinset is just as important if not more so.

    Any concrete guys here?

I have thought about tiling it as well. First I'll slope and epoxy it. If it doesn't hold up, then I'll look for some largish rectified porcelain tile.

Brilliant, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.

    Any concrete guys here?

Can't run a snowblower over my car. Well, technically, I guess I could.... I stand corrected about the rust and temperature. I was under the impression the temperature effect was binary rather than linear. Still doesn't make me hate the cold any less. Also, increased fuel consumption comes...

That's what I figured, but didn't want to hear.

    Any concrete guys here?

To your point, I believe oils have gotten to the point that temp doesn't make much difference either. Fuel consumption is definitely much worse in the cold though. The car model makes a huge difference as well. Try to find a 15 year old Mazda without any rust, unless the car has lived it's...

    Any concrete guys here?

Steve and Mike, I've used self-leveller quite a few times, and unfortunately it won't work here. I need to create slope, not just fill it in. I want the water to run toward the garage door and out of the garage. I just don't know if a mortar exists that can be built up, feathered to nothing...

    Any concrete guys here?

The floor in my garage isn't sloped properly and when snow melts off my car the water pools at the back of the garage. Is there a mortar I can buy so that I can build up parts of the floor to change the slope? I need something that will actually bond with the concrete that's already there. I...

    Kids Sporting Activities

Glen Eden was supposed to open for season passes holders today and tomorrow, then open to everyone on Monday. The storm that's coming in changed their plans so it's open to everyone on Monday (closed today and tomorrow).

    Parted out Stolen bikes ?

I bought a bike for parts and ran the VIN on a website to make sure the bike wasn't stolen. Can't remember the site but it wasn't difficult to find. Bike did come with a key as well to further reinforce the fact it wasn't stolen.

I'm not even kidding. There are more control arms on an Audi than any other car company...ever.

Another store chain to exit Canada

Home Hardware for contractors is the worst of the bunch. You have to setup an account with each individual store. For those that have jobsites that greatly vary locations it's spectacularly useless.

Another store chain to exit Canada

The contractor rewards for Lowes is much better than HD, but there are not enough stores, the website isn't as good, and the fact that some Rona stores are franchised while others are corporate is a PITA for returns. Buy something in Calgary HD, return it in Fredericton if need be. Definitely...

How to destroy the economy with common sense.

I absolutely believe debt is a tool, but it isn't used in such a manner. Debt is how governments buy votes, and social idiots buy friends/likes. A large portion of Canada's older population likes Pierre Trudeau because their wages went up and HATED Mulrooney because of GST. Go to the debt...

Have a new rider in family. I think I have a plan but can someone offer tips on getting started re: licensing and insurance?

I'm a bit late to the game since you've bought a bike already, but my suggestion would have been a racer5 or similar track oriented package. You can rent the bike, rent the gear, and actually learn how to ride. My son is still a few years from getting his license but he's done track and races...
