Yes very common. It's designed that way to meet emissions standards. Its also very dangerous in corners like in NC, unless you have a Very smooth wrist ?
I track an 03 R6 with some suspension mods, proper track tires and love it. Tried it on the street for a season and couldn't do the ergos for long rides. Perfect track bike
What ever you do just do not mention work shop...just say storage for your 10 lawnmowers and snow blowers, or for all your wife's ****..they will understand
unbelievable, bailing at 200km.and walking away....not something you can practice. I watched the replay over and over to see how he did it....if that was me..that would have been my last...anything !
When I rode the gs500 the front end dive was excessive to say the least...when my wife was on the back I would scrape everything when cornering. My front and rear mods fixed all of that and the bike cornered like it was on rails..the stock suspension SUCKS on these bikes. You shouldn't just fix...
The soft front you are experiencing is normal for that bike.....if you fix the front issue you should address the rear so you will have balanced suspension. Trust me, replace the rear with a r6 shock...

Sorry - dont mean to go off topic, but what kind of container do you carry it in?
I bought one of those gas cans from canadian tire..the ones for your chain saw that have a gas can on one end and an 2.5L oil container on the other.. cut the oil can off with the band saw. Works great, never...
Just take an FZ1 or MT10 for a ride in the mountains and you will be sold....HP and torque through out the power band..the only downfall is the size of the gas tank....i carry extra fuel....
