I had an '08 CBR before my '09 and trust me I could feel the difference. Bought ECU off ebay and swapped it. Now I have a good midrange of '09 and a good top end of '07-'08.
Re: Do "setup" days exist? Looking to get my suspension (SAG) set up for my weight
So what's a good shop to do it then? Yes, $80 to make things work well ain't that much.

Speedworx in Markham can set up suspension for $25. Those guys know what they are doing.
You don't need to companies to do it for you. I brought the bike over last year from NY state. Piece of cake OP.
1)Start a folder with all the paperwork that you're going to bring with you.
2)Print out the add.
Bring that printed add (craigslist?) with you when you're picking the bike up.
3)...
Gonna be a lot bike for a bit. Stricly practice.
I remember when # used to just a useless button on the phone......
On another note, such a nice weather to hit the lot today.
I'd stay away from '09+ years unless you really need ABS (That's like mine by the way).
In '09+ years they downgraded the power on those bikes. Kinda went backwards. What I did is just swapped ECU from '07-'08 CBR600RR and gained the lost top end power.
OP, wait for a week before Christmas. People really need money during that time. You'll get a better price.
P.S. I love my CBR but if I was to upgrade, I'd get Gixxer 750cc
We had this ride on Sunday. Around 25 of us got out in costumes. Went through Toronto downtown. Was a blast.
Sucks to whoever didn't make it to this ride.
