If you read this entire thread before going on your rage post, you'd have noticed that I admitted I'm 100 percent at fault here.
My post was in response to someone asking how I could have not seen his bike. Yes, if I walked to the backseat door, I would have seen the bike.
What in the hell are...
Thanks for the advice.
I'm starting to think to go through insurance as well though I'm sure I wont forget about it for a long time.
My premiums are already at $3400.
Yes, very presumptuous; I was not on my phone (though I have every right to be on it as I approach my vehicle).
I'll spare you...
I agree with you 100 percent.
I think having him sign a made up contract would be nothing more than a psychological deterrent. Certainly would not be enforceable.
Nobody commented on the fact that his ignition is not working properly and it takes a couple of tries to start the bike.
He wants me to buy a new RH switch as well.
Can we all agree that the rust on the handle bar is suspicious? Remember this happened a couple of weeks ago.
Can a bike tip over on the left side and:
1) break slider
2) damage clutch
3) scratch mirror
4) damage handle
5) scratch fairing
6) bend in the exhaust
I want to make things right...
I had another question to everyone here:
Is it reasonable to have these kind of damages with sliders installed?
The guy is saying that he had sliders on the bike (I didn't pay attention to it at first) and when I met up with him again to inspect the damage they were gone.
He said that the left...
In response to the rust on the left handle:
It does look suspicious to me as well. The only thing that might seem reasonable is that it was raining on that evening.
I'm not sure how fast it would rust, but it doesn't seem unreasonable.
What really alarms me is that I wasn't aware of all this...
My car cost me $32k, not $8k.
My car weighs 3,000 lbs, not 400.
My car doesn't have sliders.
My car is not a motorcycle.
Do you have any more useful comments?
Let's discuss how much it would cost to fix a Boeing 747 that landed on its wings.
Are you sure about this?
I'm hearing conflicting things. That insurance only gets involved once a claim is maid. I was told in the CRC that they don't notify insurance.
Seems like there's no consistency in opinions. Still not sure what to do...
I have no problem with paying the guy money (well, aside from being out a couple of grand), but not if that means that my rates will go up anyway.
**** the insurance in this province.
