Sounds fantastic. Try to see Yosemite NP if you can. That place is magical. Don’t hit Yellowstone on the weekend. If you can incorporate Hwy 14A in Wyoming from Dayton to Cody since you will be in the area. Very nice views and road. Alway good to see signs on that say closed in winter.
You are lucky. We had one die in my wife’s car many years ago. The stink was horrible. I could never find the source. Took all the back apart nada. Couple years later I had to replace the brake light bulb and there he was. He had crawled in there. I swear a few years later I could still smell...
One year I started my bike in spring and what looked like black smoke from the exhaust was sunflower seed casings, what a mess and smell of burning wood for sometime after that. I better stuff them with rags or steel wool once more. Thanks I forgot that.
Maybe 20 years ago my brother and I went to airport M/C show and there was a vendor selling mini-bikes. We kept walking past him and finally we decided we'd buy one between the two of us and rotate it between our houses. We got into the back of his Isuzu SUV and couldn't wait to try it out. He...
In the last few years I have not covered my bike and taken off the seat and side panels; no mice. I find under the covers and seat they can make nests. Luckily mine just made homes and didn't chew anything. Just in case this may work for others.
The clutch takes same brake fluid and I flush both systems every 2 years. A few years ago the brakes were sticking so I stripped and cleaned the callipers and there was some grime and crud in the seal grooves but sort of expected. With the slave cylinder being closed I didn’t expect this amount...
The clutch has been disengaging at the last 1/4" of travel, not slipping by any means, but makes low speed maneuvering difficult.
I usually flush out every couple of years. I decided to take the clutch slave cylinder off. Wow, I didn't expect this.
You have to go so you can complain about it. But there is always something cool that happens when you go and you never know what.
I too wish they would combine the two shows like before.
Took the hard case and seat off. Unplugged the fuel pump and ran the carbs dry. Drained oil and remover filter. Go get the new filter. Oy empty box, sheesh. Get in car go to Cdn tire pick up filter. Put in new oil and run the starter a few times to circulate and check level. Trickle charger on...
It is like a winter tonic. All the 2 wheel fun the smell of rubber, leather and vinyl. The roar of the daredevils flying in the air and the whiff of exhaust. What’s not to like? Love it all.
Thanks so much @PrivatePilot and @cutekill and others in the background for all this hard work and giving up your weekend. I too notice the site loading much quicker.
