I left statefarm 2 years ago because of their price for auto insurance.
I stopped by the statefarm office today to see if they could do any better on the pricing.
I still have the same car I did back then and they want 2400$ to insure it, without collision.
Right now I pay around 1300$ a year...
Riding on the Thanksgiving weekend was a mixed bag of traffic, pedestrians, tourists........
I had the following Tuesday off of work, so I figured it would be a great time for a ride.
The weather was perfect and no traffic at all. I had the whole route to myself.
Here is a link to my ride...
My bike is around 450lbs, around 100hp too.
My riding style is mostly touring around, with a few spirited corners from the few we can find in southern Ontario.
Needless to say, I don't ride the wheels off it, as you can tell.
The PR2's performed really well on "the Dragon" the constant...
I love my PR2's... I have to order another set over the winter. This set has seen Deals Gap and the BRP, and another trip to PA.
The rest is all Ontario roads.
I like your forum name.
We did the Lake Placid tour last fall at this time.
High Falls Gorge was nice to see in the morning.
Call the base of Whiteface Mt before heading up the mountian. The people at the base will tell you what the visibility is like from the summit.
9N south to Lake...
Might want to post this in the cruising / touring section.
There has been a lot of flooding in that area of the north east, might want to check that before you head out.
cheers
Sounds like a great time in WV. We rode through the state on our way home from Deals Gap this year.
We took 16 through Hungry Mother State park, then over to the 219. 16 was an amazing road, banked corners and all.
I hope to make it back to West Virginia sometime this month. Might have to...
Re: Mantha Insurance - "Finding Insurance shouldn't keep you from the open road"
i have insurance through mantha. they sold me jevco insurance for my zed.
they are legit. hope it all works out for you.
Stick with the PR2's. I have 18,000 kms on my set. That includes a trip to the BRP and Deals Gap. Plus another weekend in PA.
These tires rock. They have more than enough grip to handle the twisties. The compound they use for the center eats up Ontario roads.
I live 500 meters from the intersection of Hwy 410 and Sandalwood Pkwy. We can hear cars and bikes that sound as loud as Formula One cars all the time, at all hours of the day. You are right, its only a matter of time until a law gets put in place that would restrict the db's.
