Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

That's great. I'm super happy it works for you.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Oh. For sure Tesla is the cream of the crop. I've seen a ton of multi-use chargers, versus only a couple of tesla ones. So I guess I don't quite understand why they're so amazing still. If my girlfriend wanted a tesla, I'm sure she would have gotten one. As it was, she really loves Subaru...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I would love to read this entire thread, but I don't have that kind of time. I'm wondering what is so special about you and why you don't face the same challenges for charging? I'm assuming you have a Tesla of course, but am I mistaken thinking that you still have to charge that like me?

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

@mimico_polak Like Brian said, the Subaru is the Toyota whatever. But unlike the FRS/BRZ colab, these ones are AWD. Yeah. We figured out that the heated seats and such don't use much power at all. And in half was obviously being a little extra. With climate control on we had about 160...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

This video posted made me think about finally writing this out here. My partner got a Subaru Solterra just before Christmas and we both love it. She has chargers at work for free, so this decision was kind of a no brainer. Plus her commute is only 5km. We went on a trip to London last week...

    Motorcycle hitch carrier

I've been using my PA carrier for about three years now. I have a pickup, but F that. So much easier to roll it onto the hitch carrier, and use the truck bed for canopy, gear, stand, etc. I probably use it 10-15 times a year.

    Coyote Encounter Tonight

I just bought this and carry it with me on my bicycle for my early morning commutes. I travel through a couple green areas here in Brampton and have seen coyotes a few times. The scariest was around Ching park. I was riding up and saw two of them on my left up ahead. One of them sauntered...

How to destroy the economy with common sense.

Yeah, I was thinking of the payments until the end of the loan, not the loans that have no payments until the end. But of course, just like you said you're going to do here, how many people actually pay the full amount off at the end. I will say that it will always be better to wait and save...

How to destroy the economy with common sense.

Yes, you're right for the "buy" now pay later. I was thinking more of the "buy" now and pay monthly or weekly or whatever. Of course I would always advise against financing anything just because it creates bad habits.

How to destroy the economy with common sense.

Even if it's 0% financing, you're losing. That money is now in their account making them money, instead of yours.

Homelessness Solved in U.S. Sanctuary New York City during COVID last year

That's awesome. So now that person gets a shift at McD's, loves it, and then sleeps outside still because there's not a ******* place they can afford to live. I've watched a lot of homeless documentaries and it's a very complicated issue that people think is simple. People want them to go to...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

I do wonder how many of these vehicles are owned by other people vs owned by themselves.

    Philosophical question

Not sure how this is a philosophical question. I think it's more of a physical question. In my case, where I have forgotten to give the buyer all the crap that came with the bike/car/whatever, I throw it in the garbage. No need to have **** I'll never use laying around taking up space.

    TTR50 or CRF50

I second getting an electric dirt bike. There's a guy in my MX club that had some Apollo and Sedna electric balance bikes for sale. They were only around $750. At that price, I would have totally gone that route for my kids. The fact that they're electric and he could ride it around the...

    Hot Yoga

I did Modo (which is what Moksha is now called) Yoga for two years before COVID and I loved it. I used to race 2hr XC's and then started doing MX. I was in the best shape of my life while I was doing yoga, which I would do at least one class a day and sometimes two (or three on weekends)...

    Trailers, Campers and RVs…

The gross weight is over 3000lbs. Then adding all the gear etc. and imo you're in the territory of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". Plus putting two adults and three kids in there (and a MIL sometimes!!!!!)? But I guess that's really dependent upon if they're inside or outside...

    Trailers, Campers and RVs…

I've had my Salem FSX180RT for two years now. For me it's been great because I race MX and usually go for a whole weekend when I do. It's great to have all the amenities of home right there at the track. My friend owns a park on Lake Huron that I've brought it to for a few long weekend's as...

    Indian Scams

Fair point. The thread was started about Indians and you used "they". So I put two and two together I guess. I was really just trying to point out that a lot have done it in the past, and will continue to do it. Where there are laws, there will be ways to get around them.

    Indian Scams

So "they" do what lots of other people do, and have done, in the past? I remember hearing in the past about all those Italian/Portuguese/whatever construction workers doing it under the table. I'm sure that still happens too.
