BIG AND TALL - NEW RIDER

Welcome to the forum and motorcycling. I think you are on the right track with adv bikes for your size, I'm 6ft2 and can't flat foot some of the taller ones. Some of the bigger cruisers with forward controls might fit your legs well but I'm uncertain about how the low seat height and limited...

    New/Not New at all

Welcome...great bike, I had an 09 and I loved it. I have a brand new in box OEM rear shock for your bike, never got around to installing it on mine. Let me know if you are interested, you can have it for a great deal.

    Buying bikes during lockdown?

New bike sales are booming, and popular models are nearly sold. Try finding a new dirt bike 125cc or bigger. From what I understand the demand is far outweighing supply, not hard to imagine as used are listed for more than new lately.

    D30 or SAS-TEC back protection

That's a big stretch lol...pads are under 100, airbags are significantly more. Better, absolutely, but not a member of the "f'n baller club" so out of my budget unfortunately. Considering how hard I got hit last year the pad definitely minimized the damage so I have faith in its ability to...

    D30 or SAS-TEC back protection

Just ordered a hi-viz Scorpion Vortex Air jacket for summer commuting, and looking to upgrade the thin foam in the back to ce2. I've never tried the Scorpion recommended SAS-TEC piece but it seems bulky and not as ventilated in comparison to the D30. Anyone have experience with the SAS-TEC...

    VFR800 Ins Issues? Sport Bike?

I had mine insured with riders plus/echelon, full coverage was 1300ish. They didn't consider it a sport bike though, it came up as sport touring then.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Even with all the overpriced bikes right now, this one stands out. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-sport-bikes/oshawa-durham-region/looking-for-offers-2018-ninja-400-with-performance-upgrades/1560458142?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=ios_social

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

You're not wrong...I agree it's absolutely crazy, but new with freight and tax is pretty close to his asking price and no one has inventory. Last year of production and high demand he will probably get close to it if someone wants it bad enough.

Safest way to remove stubborn coil packs?

Right zip ties, I think that's what I meant lol. Just looked at the picture again , not sure if it'll work on a motorcycle coil pack, doesn't seem to have anywhere to hook onto the side opposite of the plug. Works great on larger automotive coils though. Edit:found pics, this guy is only using...

Safest way to remove stubborn coil packs?

Too late, but a trick I use is to tie together 3 tie straps, place the two outside tie strap loops under the coil pack edges and pull the centre one up while twisting.

How much is your Supersport Insurance?

That's insanely cheap for that bike, I'm curious how you got that rate? is it bundled with other products? If I may ask, how long have you been insured riding?
