I had mine insured with riders plus/echelon, full coverage was 1300ish. They didn't consider it a sport bike though, it came up as sport touring then.

You're not wrong...I agree it's absolutely crazy, but new with freight and tax is pretty close to his asking price and no one has inventory. Last year of production and high demand he will probably get close to it if someone wants it bad enough.

Too late, but a trick I use is to tie together 3 tie straps, place the two outside tie strap loops under the coil pack edges and pull the centre one up while twisting.

That's insanely cheap for that bike, I'm curious how you got that rate? is it bundled with other products? If I may ask, how long have you been insured riding?

Might be good against tailgaters, just have to rig a quick release drain.
