I think this is far prettier, aesthetically.

    The Little Person Inside

I have seen paraplegics who work in offices, stores, scientific labs, shipping companies, warehouses, and host TV talkshows , run motorcycle shops, etc., As Newman said, other than physical labour that requires the ability to walk, the sky is the limit. If anyone else can afford racing, there is...

    Frog Togs rain wear

Of course you are getting wet- They are Frogg Toggs. The only riders who stay dry in them are riding full dressed touring bikes. The lack of a double flap at the zipper is culprit. My Fieldsheer is till watertight...I bought it when I was 18 and needed something wind and waterpro0f to wear over...

    The Little Person Inside

I dunno how many of you realize that our very own member, "recidivist", owner of Competition Cycle in Whitby, is very much like the fellow in this documentary. Crashing his GSXR on a group ride in Muskoka, breaking his back and becoming paralyzed. While still in hospital recovering, before even...

2014 GSX-R1000 or 2014 YZF-R1 which one and why? Or..........

If you're not riding it on the track, I cannot imagine why anyone would shop for a 160+ hp sportbike to begin with. Sorta like buying a Lamborghini for day to day driving. I would be far more inclined to ride a Tuono, Monster, Superduke. And heck, I would probably even order the little Monster...

    Ghomeshigate

Everyone's wives were busy fingerbanging themselves silly while reading 50 Shades of Grey a couple yrs ago, so it's not like he is some type of torturer for liking the slap and tickle. As far as I am concerned, these women are now looking for payback or glory-there's no shame in modern times...

Chain and sprocket kit for gsxr

_1 +3 gearing on your GSXR is like going 3:55 to 4"10 on your Mustang. For a streetbike, I wouldn't bother with 520. Just shortening the lifespan for unmeasurable performance gain. And I would use steel sprockets on a streetbike, again longevity, and alloy ones tend to be noisier than steel ones...

    ZX7R track bodywork

They let Hoffartth win season after season on his 89 ZX7 running 93/94 fairings. We have 2+ seasons of 3 hr races, and a handful of sprint races (probably well over 3000 laps and once small crash) on Squidskins on our endurance bike. No problems to speak of. Fit great out of the box. TJ painted...

    2015 Yamaha FZ-07 announced

No need. The adventure crowd doesn't mind a steel frame that any shopowner in Siberia can repair....and this bike doesn't need the weight savings of aluminum or even any more R&D framewise, It's already very light...the current frame is sufficient. Simply using different fork and shock, and...

    2015 Yamaha FZ-07 announced

They NEED to make an Adventurized version of the 700, with 17" rear wheel and 19" front, and switchable ABS. It would destroy the BMW's and Wee-Strom's stranglehold on the midsized ADV market

    Too many kms?

A Dr. I once met many yrs ago had an article written in a major motorcycle publication about his 92 CBR 900.....more than 10 or 15 yrs ago, it already had 350,000+ miles (almost 600,000 kms) on it. He used it for commuting, canyon riding in California, and trackdays. It had all mistmatched...

Non-Toxic way to clean the grease/grime off my chain/rear wheel

The cheap "As Seen on TV" car wax called Liquid Lustre. Can be had at CDN Tire etc. Wipe onto greasy grimy wheel. Rub and wipe off. Cleans off existing mess, and leaves waxed finish to ease the wiping off of grime for next time as well.

    SOAR Racing Thread

Newman, thanks for the bottle of water too! I needed it.....as for your lesson, I think you just wanted to rub salt in the wound of the Rookie grid......leaving your bike in neutral on the start with your arm up, then joining the race after they all left, on the oldest slowest bike in the class...

What did you do to your Race/Track Bike today - 2014

Your teamates and I talked at length over dinner Sat about your wife situation. I think she may be disenchanted with motorcycle crashes because she sees them on TV and reads about them in the paper. Let's be realistic- How many SOAR crashes happened this yr? 100? 150?....200? How many people...
