Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

Entitlement isn't a factor...you're helping the cars, not hurting them. An entitled person might say "you should wait in line like me" though...

Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

Nope, newer bikes have catalytic converters and closed-loop ECUs that can't be modified easily...unless you're one of the 50+ fatasses that ride an HD you're polluting less than a car. Actually it does address it - motorcycles are physically smaller and inarguably take up less room than cars...

Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

uh aside from the obvious you mean? motorcycles take up less room on the road than cars, they wear out the road less than cars...and aside from some air-cooled behemoths ridden by people with more money than brains...they pollute less than cars too. these are the reasons why CA allows...

Attorney General's Public Consultation for Traffic Offences

Keeping speed limits artificially low as a revenue generation tactic is ALSO abuse of the system...if we had speed limits that made sense with people's behavior then the courts could NEVER be jacked up enough for 11.b walks because only people who are ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING WRONG would get...

Not sure if police officer liked my dash cam

If you want this you have choices: - A camera that is capable of saving to an external storage medium...and then your problem becomes 'I need portable storage that has an encryption layer that is transparent to camera' - I could solve this problem myself but I don't know if there is an...

Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

I think its funny that we live in fear of HTA 172...and yet people say "oh people will block me or run me over if I lane split" - in those situations HTA 172 is the most lenient charge they could get for taking crazy actions like that...cagers don't want to be arrested either. People won't even...

Not sure if police officer liked my dash cam

No, it wasn't...lol, I only chimed into this thread on the last page...I don't think digesting the evidence is a smart plan. I agree! It's best to avoid as much illegal activity as possible rather than counting on thwarting the attempts of LEOs to stop you....however people shouldn't be...

Not sure if police officer liked my dash cam

Many cams integrate with Android phones (GoPro being one of them) and SD encryption/protection is a built-in feature on that platform. It took 5 mins of googling to find easy ways to protect your media files...that's why I didn't bother responding to you on that.

Not sure if police officer liked my dash cam

Maybe - but only until holding you doesn't increase the likelyhood of you complying...eg: the court accepts that you did indeed forget, you weren't making it up. You LEOs are pretty hilarious at times...if anyone points out the simple reality that if you are clever you can easily skirt around a...

Not sure if police officer liked my dash cam

All of this circular arguing...it's pointless. You can easily "lose" the SD card or encrypt it and "forget" the password...unless you talk yourself into trouble by admitting you're obstructing justice on purpose there isn't much they can do. In hedo2002's example above the accused admitted (or...

"The Beer Store’s secret sweetheart deal with LCBO revealed" - says The Star

Re: "The Beer Store’s secret sweetheart deal with LCBO revealed" - says The Star you couldn't be more wrong...I hate that **** with a passion, but I am a realist and realistically alcohol is horrible...bitching about it being taxed is...silly

"The Beer Store’s secret sweetheart deal with LCBO revealed" - says The Star

Re: "The Beer Store’s secret sweetheart deal with LCBO revealed" - says The Star lol, well sorry if I disrespected your choice of beverage...but my position is very difficult to argue against...mostly religious types and other people good at keeping reality at bay with rationalizations would...

"The Beer Store’s secret sweetheart deal with LCBO revealed" - says The Star

Re: "The Beer Store’s secret sweetheart deal with LCBO revealed" - says The Star nah, but it definitely should stay expensive - we need the tax money to pay for the damage it causes. I think it's ludicrous to tax and sell alcohol but people do jail time for other drugs that have less societal...

"The Beer Store’s secret sweetheart deal with LCBO revealed" - says The Star

Re: "The Beer Store’s secret sweetheart deal with LCBO revealed" - says The Star The "beverage of the working man" causes us all kinds of crazy problems...from road accidents to healthcare bills to domestic violence to ruined lives...the alcohol taxes go to pay down some of the damage but I...

Pulled over for Stunt (excessive speed), need advice! Please help.

I looked - I don't agree with you, but I also searched here and it looks like people have argued it before as well, so no point in both of us playing lawyer and explaining why we think the way we do

No. Lane spltting is not stunt driving...maybe if the guy is getting money stuffed into his pocket from the local tow company.

Your right to trial is being removed. We must speak now or just pay the penalty

I don't understand why they would even try this? There is NO WAY this will survive any kind of charter challenge...no way...so why waste our tax money implementing it and then getting sued and having to go back to the old system?

dude, this isn't a ticket for 20 over...get representation...the consequences of losing your case are staggering...even if all you want to do is negotiate a lesser charge you should still go with someone in this instance. it's not fair and probably not even legal...but the crown gives better...

Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

Ahhh, I've only driven in Germany...the drivers there do make Ontarians look silly, but getting your driving license costs E2000, so in a way not so surprising.

Hire a representative and either delete this thread or remove the parts where you admit wrongdoing...any money you spend on legal help will not exceed your extra insurance costs if you don't.
