That's a good one lol. One thing that comes to mind is that when I needed to pickup a cheque for a claim, they made me specifically go to the Etobicoke location to pick it up. I asked if I could pick it up at a closer brokerage or have it mailed to me and they said I couldn't. Hopefully this...
Thank you, but not sure how it works with regional locations. My current agency location is in Etobicoke (because Grant was there) even though I'm north of Newmarket. Based on the 519 area code, that would be a good ways from where I'm at.
Thanks for the update. I'm with Allstate and wasn't happy when they raised my bike rates 20% last year with no changes to my policy (about $400 for both bikes). House insurance (which renews a month earlier) also was up last year about $100. I called in and they ended up giving me a $200 credit...
Driving Southbound at around 4pm on the 400 I saw a bike (looked like a v-strom) merge on the highway in front of me from the Teston on ramp. Anyone from here? It was -2 and lightly snowing. Hardcore.
I followed up with a call to Castrol. This motorcycle oil is JASO-MA and safe for wet clutches. A more recent product (Castrol GO! 4T) is an updated version of Grand Prix that is JASO-MA2 rated, but JASO-MA is safe for wet clutch motorcycles.
I also looked into Castrol GO! 4T and it looks like...
Just to reinforce what others have said and are speculating this is definitely not synethic oil, I maybe should have posted this originally for those that are unsure.
It works for my purpose as I've been using the Castrol GTX (car oil without friction modifiers) changing every 5000-6000kms for...
While waiting for a response I've been doing some digging. The same name in a different package selling in the UK is advertised as JASO. https://www.amazon.co.uk/CASTROL-Grand-Prix-10W-40-Jubi/dp/B00BCE1GCY
I think you're right about that. A few years ago there was another brand that didn't mention or feature JASO on the bottle and when the manufacturer was contacted they did confirm it was. I think it may have been Shell's Rotella oil at the time.
Just sent an email to the manufacturer to see what they say regarding JASO-MA/2 certification. I'm very much assuming so since I've been using Castrol GTX 10w40 (car oil) in my GSXR for 14 years and 95,000km and it was JASO-MA/2 approved... so it would be absolutely ridiculous if their...
Costco sells the 12L boxes (1L x 12) for $65. They have a Masterpass promo that gives you $20 off $100 or more, so if you add a $35 filler item or purchase two boxes you'll get the discount. It will bring the price per litre to be cheaper than any other retailer. I ordered last week and received...
I'm surprised more people haven't chimed in with how it's not really a concern. I never used to pay attention to ethanol vs. non and always put whatever 91 octane was convenient for my GSXR for years and with fuel stabilizer I never had an issue. That said, when I learned about it I started...
Re: Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)
In Newmarket we got snow overnight already almost a week ago. I bit more this morning than earlier and yesterday morning, but it should melt away. Worst October... first 2 weeks of it were straight rain and overcast, now the snow so...
